Most big outdoor gigs now have a gold circle at the front, otherwise this can happen:

This is indeed pretty awful.

I don't think this could ever happen at a Bon Jovi concert, even without barriers, Oasis fans are much different. Bon Jovi fans are by far the worst crowd I've experienced. Most of the people don't jump at all during the concert. All they do is clapping most of the time.

A few years back I went to a local gig and everybody around me was moshing and in the end I broke two rips and the security had to get me out, luckily I was quite close to the front

Yes its nothing to do with money at all.

Does Download have a GC type area? I ask this as I was at the MOR in 88 but obviously at the time didnt realise that 2 people were killed in a surge to the front. Even Guns n Roses who were on at the time stopped the show due to the seriousness of it but like me didnt realise how serious.
A friend of mine was further to the front at the show said it was the most scared he has ever been. He actually moved about 50 feet forward with his feet off the ground.

I'm a jumper! Always feel like it annoys people tho Hey, I have energy, I jump! lol

I haven't broken ribs but I've bruised them and it hurts - those gigs where there aren't barriers just a stage that you're all crammed against...? I used to love them but looking back, I don't think they were that great really. It's nice to know you're pretty safe, not going to get crushed and can still have a great time.

Someone mentioned that on the Live 8 DVD.
