Default Wolves Show - Gutted!

Ok, so my 5 month old daughter gets taken to hospital on monday with fever, sickness and a rash. She is still there now although thankfully much better - upshoot of this - the wolves tickets are still in my wallet because we couldn't go (prioritites right?). Have spent the day gutted but you only have to look at her and...........................

Anyway - seen the set list and it makes me feel a hell of a lot better. Terrible set list - NO these days songs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No 'Id die for you', no 'Blood on blood'.

Can't fathom out Jon's reasoning. Why play 'These Days', 'Something to Believe in' AND 'Diamond Ring' at Dublin and then none of them at Glasgow and Wolves. There seems to be two shows on the road here- the one where Jon decides there are lots of celebs in the audience, or some other bizzare reason and then the bog standard one. Doesn't matter how good the performance was, Glasgow and Wolves got bog standard shows and yet a lot of places on the euro tour didn't - Go figure.

PS Hopefully daughter out of hospital tomorrow - keep everything crossed.

James,
Sorry you had to miss the show, but glad to see you have your priorites straight (been there, done the hospital stay with my son when he was a baby). Wishes for your daughter that she makes a quick, full recovery and comes home very soon!

As far as the set list goes, it seems most of the European dates heard These Days tunes, but some not at all. Not sure why some get and some don't, seems like the eternal mystery. (I don't need to hear the These Days was bigger in Europe banter, I'm fully aware of that. Also heard comments that some ppl don't consider the UK to be Europe either! ) It would just be nice to have the TD "love" shared with everyone, including the USA, too. (Yeah, I was lucky enough to hear Diamond Ring in Philly, so that was a nice surprise.)

Now....I can only imagine what the set lists will be like back here in the for the second leg of the tour. A basic rehash of the first leg? Hope not!! Time will tell...

( "Hook Me Up" hasn't been played much in Europe, either. What a shame .)

There's more to a concert than just a setlist.

I have to say it, you didn't miss anything....

Richie was on fire for most of it, and did some amazing solo's. Tico was his usual self, i.e rocked...

As for Jon, it's the worst performance I've seen him do. He had the corisma on stage last night of a broomstick. Best vocal performance by far was Richie on I'll be there.... When he came to the front there was somethign special happening, he was really working the show, but when Jon was there is was just dull.... He played the safe card allnight, maybe he's holding out for Old Trafford, who knows, I'll find out tomorrow....

What I saw last night was not worth the £45 I paid. If that's the best Jon can do nowerdays, I hate to say it but maybe acting is the right direction for him....

I could have left after Wanted, that's how bad the set list was. Even Raise your hands was played after about 40 mins of mind numbingly boring stuff, so by that time the band had well and truely lost me.... In reply to Jon "are you still with me out there", certainly for me and Tom the answer was well and truely, NO!!!!!

Oh and the encors, what a treat. I got the girl, Captain Crash, Shout.... At least they saved the special stuff for the end

just 5 so far... 6 tomorrow.... I think it's still enough to judge them, because I have seen a range. I've seen them when they're poor, like at Huddersfield and last night, seen them when they're good like at Stoke, and seen them when theyr'e on fire, like at MK2001 and Main Road 96.
