Default Wonder why...

It’s getting harder to do multiple shows these days as well as be at the front row at BON JOVI shows because the ticket prices have got higher and rules have been changed (VIP’s first enter the pit).
I’m wondering why the ladies who have given lifelong free tickets and all access passes by Jon are still at front row (sometimes front row dead center) at European shows? It’s just unfair…I mean everyone who wants to be at front row has been camping out or purchased a ridiculously high-priced VIP package. Why those ladies have already experienced around 100 shows for free at the front row at shows all over the world are still allowed to be at front row (even dead center) in this messed situation (we are in the mess, VIP’s first or first comes first) ? Isn’t be nice to give the chance to other fans once in a while because they still pay their tickets and camp out and contribute to the band’s sales at least. Sorry for the rant from a low-income earner, non-friend of them.

hey, I agree completely.

At Hyde park in 03 we camped out and were among the first to arrive there. Hung around for about 18 hours and when we then got in found out front and centre was already taking up by about 20 people who certainly hadn't been camping.

Was still front row, but it does piss you off. Another reason why it's really not worth it.

Who gives a shit about being front row? It's completely overrated in my eyes at a gig of this size.

Pisses me off as well, haven't they seen enough shows from that angle? They should give others a chance

It really is a bit unfair...Dublin 2006 I stood outside for hours and hours and still wasn't anywhere near the front

In my opinion, "to be fair", they should follow the rules "first comes, first serves" like everyone else does to be up close to the band. I don't mind they were given lifelong free tickets and All Access Pass by Jon in around 2000, but they shouldn't take such great spot just pop up minutes before the door open. They know we are doing camp out and are in truble with ticket price increases and rule changes. Why don't they try to speak to Jon or Obie or other band members about this mess to solve the problems with their privilege? At least, they should give a hand to other true fans. Why are they such goofy?

It's like if you don't join Backstage then you aren't a big fan and don't deserve a chance at the front

The answer is simple. Jon wants them there. They are their friends.
Get over it and just enjoy the shows.

Hyde park was a bit messed up, but there were only 5 people who were VIP's of the band.
I can't speak for who the other people were, but I think they were mainly friends of the crew guys.

The VIPs did camp outside the venues for years. They followed the band for years on their own expense. They've done loads of things for the band, like given them free publicity. Research before bitching next time.

Jon or Obie cannot do shit about the fact that the queing doesn't work. It's all done by the promoters and the local crew. All the band or their management can do is give out instructions. If they are not met, they can choose not to play the same venue again, but that's about it. They are not omnipotent gods.
