And i couldn't agree with you more about the rest of what you've said. The only feature for me which made 2011 better than 2008 was that I was much much closer. In '08 I was up in the Gods right at one side of the stage (couldn't see the stage show or screens, just the band) whereas in 2011 I was actually a few rows directly behind you haha
You were? And you didn't come n say hello? Pffft!

I only spotted you during Capt. Crash i believe haha, plus there was the fact that i wasn't entirely sure it was you - which could have been potentially hugely embarrassing

There are a LOT of us from this board who KNOW what we are talking about when it comes to good and bad shows...and I'm talking aside from setlists. I have attended a few Auto-Pilot JBJ shows in New Jersey. When you have seen more than one or two gigs per tour, its EASY to see which are the good shows and which are the fucking awful ones!

Hull 2006 and NMS Night 4 2010 WERE really awful performances. You only have to read the individual threads to see that. We don't make this sh!t up for the hell of it...And out of the 13 *I* attended on this last tour alone, Manchester was BY FAR the worst. I swear I'm not saying this to wind you up...and I have no reason to lie either. Please trust the die-hards on this board who see much more than their local show.
This maybe a hard one for me to explain to you so you can grasp what im saying. But i'll give it a go anyway. I truly believe that I am as big die-hard Bon Jovi fan as any of you on here. Just because I haven't been to nearly as many shows as you lot does not make me less of a Bon Jovi fan than anyone else. For reasons that i wont get into, I cant make multiple shows a tour. I think my count is 10 since my first one in 1996, but what I get out of a Bon Jovi show is clearly different from what you get out of a Bon Jovi. I will try and get to 1 show per tour - local to my home in Liverpool if i can. And what i get out of a Bon Jovi show is seeing my idols that i've grown up with since I was 15. (im now 30). So good setlist/bad setlist, good weather/bad weather, I get a massive buzz seeing them live. The reason why I enjoyed Manchester in 2011 so much (and this aint my persona coming through) is that this time I was able to afford to be at the very front - something I have not been able to afford in previous years. And in my opinion it was the most energetic performance in years that I have experienced (maybe ive just been damn unlucky then) but 2011 pissed on MK and Manchester in 2006 (2 concerts i went to that year) and a lot of people have said how good it is.

So that is why you get something completely different out of a Bon Jovi show. I cant for the life of me understand why you have been 13 times this tour - are you on a quest for something that I am missing? Rare song? a £1m Jon smile? I dont get it. Enlighten me....

Maybe Kev, among others, enjoys a Bon Jovi concert a great deal? I'm sure if they didn't, they wouldn't spend the money on it (and we all know how much money Bon Jovi tickets can be). Yes, they go to these shows to hear different songs, but that doesn't mean they enjoy the standards any less. A Bon Jovi concert is a cool experience, and some people like to see them a lot.

And FTR, even though I wasn't there, NMS 4 just seemed to be awful. From the videos I've seen and the reports I've heard, the band was totally off. One bad thing after another. That was one of the first PBP's I followed on this board. What a wonderful welcome.
