I enjoyed Hyde Park, but I think I was more over awed by the occasion and sheer scale of the event than the actual performance although Never Say Goodbye was magical.

I enjoyed Hyde Park... the whole day but when BJ came on I was like "is this it" Manchester for me that year out shone this particular show.

Strange no one has mentioned Horsens, 2011. The day after the accident with his knee. It was soo clear that Jon didn't want to be there. Right from the start with Lost Highway I knew it didn't look to well. Piss set, Jon barely moved and tried to throw in some faked smile here and there. It was so obvious that he just wanted to get of the stage. And when the band started Working Man I was so pissed. The Springsteen cover mad me sooo dissapointed. It was the last chance to hear a cool rare Jovi track.

Night 4 at NMS is the worst I've seen. The band clearly didn't want to be there, and I quickly wished that I hadn't bothered, too.

Whether you wanted it or not, you had to keep it in the back of your mind that they'd do a tribute. I would bet that if they didn't do that song, there wouldn't be a song to replace it. It would've been Wanted, Prayer, and out.

It's not that I didn't enjoyed it, it sounded great but it was the last chance to get a real treat. And I know many loved but for me was it just like "come on, for gods sake". If the set wouldn't have sucked so much before the encore it would be diffrent.

IMO, that was the real problem with that show, not the fact that they did a tribute to Clarence.

True. As sucky as it is, you've just gotta have good luck. And the fans had shitty luck at that show.

The difference between an on and an off night is frightening.

With other bands it doesn't seem to be as noticeable if they're having a bad show, but if Jon's unhappy he lets the whole world know.

At least when we see him having fun we know he's not faking it.

it.
I also think diehards who do multiple shows can spot a bad/below par show and we pick up on stuff the casuals don't. If I go see Bryan Adams or U2, as long as they play the hits and I enjoy the show I couldn't care less what mood they're in.

When I drove back from Hull, to top off a hellish day, all these idiots were ringing into local radio to say "OMG Jon Bon Jovi was amazing tonight". Still think the casuals went home happy.
