We don't have Arenas here like you do in America or Europe, but I'd love a tour in smaller venues if that's what you mean. Half acoustic, half electric sets in a 12,000 people theatre would be like a dream.

I'd love this with a JBJ Solo Tour, though. A real global one.

But that is the most fun part of the gig

Still, I'd love to see the band in an arena show.

Yep. Been saying it for years.
Seen them in MK Bowl, Wembley Stadium, Hyde Park but for a great view you cant beat Wembley Arena. Its better than O2.

I swear that the band said after Hyde Park in 03 they would stop doing stadiums and scale it down to arenas and places like Hammersmith. Id love that.

The SECC is not the best of arenas though. It's basically just an exhibition space with some tiered seating at the back. Why would you want them to play there when The Hydro, which unlike the SECC, is being purpose built for music performances is nearing completion?

When they play arenas they actually use the walkway. In fact when I saw them in Rod Laver Arena, Jon started Last Man Standing at the back of the building and walked (with security) all the way back to the stage. This wouldn't happen in a stadium.

I wouldn't be surprised if they never came back to Glasgow again though after all the negative comments on bonjovi.com on the Glasgow setlist page.

A lot of people said "Don't bother coming back".

Stadium Shows > All (except if there's a 'private' gig of max 3000 people in an indoor venue

Theyd need to play about 50 nights at Hammersmith in order to meet demand!

I prefer proper outdoor gigs to stadiums ... Milton Keynes Bowl is the best venue Ive seen Bon Jovi at by far. Arena shows are fine, but lets have a standing area please ... None of this all seated rubbish like at the O2 shows

Because I'd never heard of the Hydro, and Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver at the SECC are two of the best gigs I've been to.

Somehow I think the band are tougher than that.

They should do a mix of venues. Take the UK & Ireland gigs- do 2 big stadiums and 2 smaller ones, 1 festival appearance, and 3-4 arenas. Better to have to add another night to a venue if demand dictates than have a load of half-empty stadiums and thousands of unsold tickets. They can play their Amen, their Make A Memory, their slow stuff in a more appropriate setting, and have the big rocking setlist at the stadiums. Folk like us can choose what we want to hear- chances are a lot of us would do at least 1 of each. Might mean a bit more travelling for some if they want the opposite to what's near them, but travelling within the UK isn't that horrendous.

It could benefit more than they think. Say they do an arena in Scotland rather than a stadium- I'd sign up for Backstage to guarantee my tickets, something you just do not need to do at present. I'd imagine others would do the same. More die-hards signed up to Backstage. More Backstage ticket sales means a better ratio of die-hard to casual fans. Lesser known/new songs better received by audiences. Hopefully leading to more variation. Better experience all round.

Of course most people would enjoy arenas more. The only people who prefer stadiums are the money grabbing c*nts who get the huge profits i.e Jon.

Absolutely. Actually, many left their assigned seat and just moved to the runways so that they could dance freely. Not the best move security-wise but it did feel like a party.

As for the question; i have seen them indoors only once, in 1988 at the Rome Palaeur (Jersey Syndicate Tour) so i can't really say, Also, i have made a point to see them only once per tour in order not to dilute the experience, therefore i always had a blast, no matter what the environment.

Actually I would want an arena gig to be a rock'n'roll show, but I get the idea for smaller gigs having softer songs. Just not the smaller gig I want to see.
