Y'all seem to be acting like they should just cancel the tour until he is back. Well, that would piss off the fans who have already paid for their tickets and taken a day of work.

I would much rather the shows get canceled than go without Richie. But as it is, me and my money are being held hostage so I will have to go. I can assure you though that after this, I am done with this band and after 30 years this will be my last tour no matter what happens.

Same here. I paid 900USD for my two DC tickets plus gas fee and hotel.
Without Richie, there's simply no way I would pay this much to see the band.
I went to the show feeling really disappointed.
If the shows have to go on as scheduled, at least an option for easy refund should be made to us. Refund at the venue looks like a joke to me.

Refund at the venue is not an option for me, I am in America and heading over to Europe for shows, I don't want to even add up all the money I am wasting. I have more shows in the states after Europe, I can only hope that Richie is sorted out by then.

Seriously i can see both sides of the argument. A lot of people have been with the band from the beginning and still follow them because Jovi are more than just a cheeky smile from a pretty frontman. Richie has always been the main man in my eyes and if i pay for a ticket that has his face on it then thats what i expect to get at a show. If people want a refund they should be offered it ,accept and let those who want to go and scream at Jon standing still, get on with it!!

As for people comparing this to Motley touring without Tommy (i can swear, but use backing tracks on my drum solo) Lee, dont make me laugh.Drummers like him are ten a penny. Most of the great bands out there have a solid two pronged spine within them. Lennon and McCartney,Jagger and Richards,Stanley and Simmons etc.

Richie is an important part of Jovi's history/heart, his contribution to the band is under estimated due to JBJ always being the centre of attention. At times the people who tell me i should still go and stop moaning annoy me,i honestly think most of them only go to the shows in the hope Jon flashes the pearly whites at them.Have you ever listened to Jovi's back catalogue,do you know who Sambora is??

Life is about choices and if i still decide to go to the shows i have tickets for then i will. But please dont think that makes me any less a Jovi fan than someone who is happy to be given a sub par version of a once great band is........You dont have a clue!!!!

I've never blamed Jon or anyone for this. I'm not interested who's fault it is, I just want Richie back in the band. They should cancel the tour until he is back. What if it was Jon that had to leave the tour for personal reasons? Should they hire a replacement singer?
