Just like for Seb my first concert was on the OWN tour technically but for Paris fans it was THE concert for the Crush album we got (like in 2010 germany didn't get the circle tour but the GH in 2011- in 2000 Paris didn't get Crush but the Live album OWN in 2001 ).....it was june 2001 the setlist was IMO a KILLER ONE (after that show I was so hooked that I immediately bought tickets for the following shows for Germany Switzerland and Austria I took the kids in the car and and hit the road.. since then I have never stopped)

Setlist:
One Wild Night
Raise Your Hands
You Give Love A Bad Name
In These Arms
It's My Life
Born To Be My Baby
Always
I Got The Girl
Just Older
Wild In The Streets
Blaze Of Glory
Lay Your Hands On Me
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
Bad Medicine (Shout)

Encore 1:
These Days
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
Keep The Faith (Sympathy For The Devil)

Encore 2:
Wanted Dead Or Alive
Livin' On A Prayer

Encore 3:
Tequila (Extended Version)
Twist And Shout

Even though I'd only been a casual fan for about a year at that time, I'd been on this board and I knew it was highly unlikely that I'd hear anything off These Days. I remember standing there with my mouth open, in complete shock, when I realized they were playing Damned. After that night, I became a hard core fan lol
I was at that show .... it was absolutely outstanding !!!! I was so excited we got Damned and the next day they did it again for my Montreal show!

I remember your excitement over that back then! It seems like just recently though. Time does fly.

what an awesome show that was, perfect to be your first. that was the most amazing weekend for me. Def Leppard and Whitesnake on Friday, Bon Jovi on Sunday. what are the chances of having your 3 favourite bands playing the same city in the same weekend? the rain drops were really welcomed and a nice break from the tiring 30something degrees in Lisbon. definitely a show to remember.

EDIT: it's been really great reading all your stories and experiences

These three right in a row is one of my favorite Jovi concert moments ever. Surprise after surprise, and I never thought I had a chance of hearing RSOW ever.

My first BJ show? Man, it's been a while since then, dating back to April 17th 1993 in Stockholm, Sweden at the Globe Arena (nowadays known as Ericson Globe).

Setlist:
1. I Believe
2. Wild In The Streets
3. You Give Love A Bad Name
4. Born To Be My Baby
5. Bring It On Home To Me
6. Bed Of Roses
7. Keep The Faith
8. Blood Money
9. Blaze Of Glory
10. Dry County
11. Lay Your Hands On Me
12. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
13. Blood On Blood
14. Bad Medicine
15. Shout

Encore:
16. Drift Away
17. In These Arms
18. Midnight Rider
19. Wanted Dead Or Alive
20. Livin' On A Prayer

To date, this is one of the best versions I've ever heard of WDOA as it was introduced by the magnificent Midnight Rider.

My first BJ concert was on the 28th of November 1988 in Helsinki. If I remember it correctly, they played 18 songs (Ride Cowboy Ride being, of course, only a short interlude that acted as an intro to Wanted). I´ve got the setlist somewhere. Seeing Bon Jovi open with the massive build up of Lay Your Hands On Me was a once in a lifetime experience. I knew it even at that age, as a teenager. The last song was Thin Lizzy´s Boys Are Back In town.

The NJ tour had barely begun so the band was enthusiastic and obviously on fire. I still remember the whole thing like it was yesterday. The next year, 1989, they came back on the second European leg of the NJ tour and the strains of the marathon tour started to be obvious at that time. The set was shorter and the band seemed a bit world-weary. Jon wasn´t running that much around the stage as he had done a year ago. Not to say it wasn´t a great concert. I sort of enjoyed the athmosphere even more in 1989.

Ok, it has happened few time that they've switched those two, eg the second show in London 1990.

So something like this:
Lay Your Hands On Me
I'd Die For You
Wild In The Streets
You Give Love A Bad Name
Tokyo Road
Pink Flamingos + Let It Rock
Living In Sin
Blood On Blood
Livin' On A Prayer
Wanted Dead Or Alive
Bad Medicine
