Default Your highlights from The Circle Tour

So guys, it's been almost 6 months since the start of The Circle Tour and now, after the North America stadium leg, it's the biggest break of the tour so far with the next shows scheduled in late September. And so far I think the tour had some great moments, not just because I finally lost my Bon Jovi virginity in London, but the band provided us some great performances and judging from the setlists, Jon's vocals, overall performance and etc. IMO this tour has been the best Bon Jovi tour since OWN. Not because OWN was phenomenal at the time (actually, the setlists sucked to be honest), but for most fans it was the last tour from the high energetic Bon Jovi that we love, at least I feel that way. So my point is that the band and especially Jon has really stepped up their game a bit and we haven't even seen the best part of the tour yet (which is obviously the European leg). And as I said, it had a lot of highlights for me (some watching them live, some watching on YouTube) and I think we all should share it. I mean posting the YouTube links so everyone could see it. I'll start first with a few highlights, first of all - highlights from YouTube.

I'll Be There For You from Charlotte
Jon probably gives his best vocals of this song since the 90s. He doesn't do the scream, but the third verse is really something to see if you haven't already, cause it sounded amazing

Bed Of Roses from Montreal, night 2
Up until this point, they were doing a weird version of this song, where the band was playing the original version, but Jon was singing the TLFR notes on top of it and it sounded badly. I believe this is the first time on this tour that Jon did this song the way it's supposed to be done (with the rusty voice in the "I've got nothing to prove for it's you" line). Probably not the best performance, but a really good one and a breath of fresh air at that point.

Love's The Only Rule from Philadelphia, night 1
Before the tour I never imagined this song being such a killer live song. Why this performance? Because it's better than the proshot version BJ channel put on YT.

Wanted Dead Or Alive from Saragota
Having Richie sing this song more that usual is always a pleasure.

Damned from Chicago, night 2
Flawless performance of a great rarity. Jon was really on fire.

In These Arms from Paris
Solid performance improved by David, who sang part of the first line and sounded great.

Let It Rock from Paris
While the comeback of this song in O2 was an amazing surprise, the second performance of this song was the one where Jon sounded briliantly.

Something To Believe In from London, night 7
Never expected to hear the original version of this ever again. And it happened. And Jon blew me away with his voice. Considering it was the first performance of original version since 2001 it's damn impressive and I'm sure if he would perform it again soon it would sound even better, much like Let It Rock.

Keep The Faith from Dallas, night 2
Just a regular KTF performance with Jon on top form. Hundreds of miles better than the one on the MSG DVD.

It's My Life from Madrid
The performance was regular, but the atmosphere was mindblowing. Spanish fans went from singing "ole ole ole" to sounding louder that Jon on the first verse.

Hallelujah from Charlotte
I know some of you don't like this song, but for those who do, I believe this one is the best performance that captures most of the magic-ness of it. And I know it's been performed since 2007, but the extended high note in the end (much longer than the one on MSG DVD) made it that much better.

I Don't Like Mondays (feat. Bob Geldof) from London, night 10
This one is for me, mostly, as I'm a huge fan of this song and I absolutely love the performance from Wembley '95 that ended up being released on OWN live CD. So it was a really nostalgic moment for me hearing it again 15 years later. And Jon sounded almost just as good as he did in Wembley.

So, I see that I posted a shitload of links with comments, so I believe if I also posted the highlights of my live experience it would just be too much for one post, so I'll do it later when I think about it more. Now I want to see your highlights from this tour

My highlights are:

- The firsts 2 concerts in Honolulu
- It´s hard letting you go
- Something to believe in
- The amazing intro with Blood on blood, Happy Now and Last Man Standing
- The scenario
- Homebound train
- Let It Rock

My dissapointments

- The interview with richie created so much spectation they havent done
http://www.musicradar.com/news/guita...on-tour-236166

- Vanila Set List/Autopilot set list

- The O2 (According with what Richie said in the link above and playing 12 nights at the same place, we all thought the would play entire albums including The Circle and SWW and much more surprises or rarities)

- And the most important: This Tour has to be named "Greatest Hits Tour 2" or "Lost Highway Tour Volume 2"... shame the lack of songs of The Circle (which is for many the best album since These Days) and the masterpiece Brokenpromiseland (Played only once in Honolulu)

Some of my favorites off the top of my head, possibly more to come:

Homebound Train performed at Dallas, TX, USA on April 11, 2010.
Richie kicks the shit out of it!

Wild Is The Wind: London, UK on June 19, 2010
Always loved it live.

Have A Nice Day: Chicago, IL, USA on July 31, 2010
Performed with energy, the way the song should be performed all the time.

Let It Rock: London, UK June 11, 2010

Something For The Pain: Dallas 2010
I haven't found many versions I don't enjoy of this song so I figured I would use the pro shot footage

Always, Chicago, Night #1
JBJ was into it and gave a passionate performance.

Dry County, Chicago, Night #2
So happy when the opening notes of this were played to start the encore. Just doesn't get played enough here in the U.S.

Runaway in Philadelphia
http://drycounty.com/jovitalk/showthread.php?t=51569

Richie and Tico were on fire. A killer song to start the encore.

HAND in Chicago
Somethin to believe in - O2
Prayer in Madrid - Great performance and crowd too
Somethin for the pain
The accoustic set in the cirlce with the guys together reminds me 1995. A classic from the band not played for a while in others tours, so it´s very nice to see this song live again. I don´t know if this is the best performance, but this is a video recorded by me so that´s make it special I guess.

Intro + Blood on Blood
The best intro ever. When I remember it gets me chills.

Seventeen Stops on the 2010 Circle Tour

Highlights
• Starting with two massive shows in Montreal. Twenty-nine songs were done each night. Ten songs were changed from night one to night two. In addition, two different covers were done in Bad Medicine, and Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night was acoustic the first night and electric the second.
• Hearing seven different songs from The Circle over the two nights, including Happy Now in the opener slot for the first time ever. Unfortunately, those were the only tracks from the album that I would hear in spite of doing fifteen more shows. My first show of the tour would be the ONLY time I heard Thorn In My Side.
Happy Now - Thorn In My Side - • Hearing Richie’s version of Homebound Train for the first time.
• Hearing two songs that I’d never heard from These Days . . . back-to-back. Amazing.
Diamond Ring - Something For The Pain - • The first Always of the tour, which was the twenty-eighth song performed on night two.
Love For Sale as one of the songs on the Circle.
In spite of all that, the most magical moment of those two nights was probably when Ole, Ole came rolling out of the rafters of the Bell Centre after Livin’ On A Prayer on night one. The sound built and built, and I saw Richie say “We have to play!” to Jon. Jon nodded yes as he put the monitors back in his ears for a second encore. It wasn’t over yet!

• Spending three wonderful nights in May at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey.
Dry County . . . twice. I’ll never get over the thrill of hearing those opening notes.
Night one - Night two - Never Say Goodbye (even with screwed-up lyrics), Always, Living In Sin, Diamond Ring, I’d Die For You . . . some of you may be lucky enough to go to shows where these songs don’t qualify as special treats, but here, they’re notable and very much appreciated.
Living In Sin - I’d Die For You - • Getting together with friends, new and old, for these shows and for the after-shows around the dining room table in Ridgewood. A little food, a beverage or two, music of our own making – some good and loud . . . and some just loud. It really was a grand time!

• Closing out the 2010 U.S. shows with two nights in Chicago. I hadn’t planned to go, but I woke up the morning after getting home from the trip to Boston for the Foxborough show knowing that I just had to be there. I bought a plane ticket and started the search for tickets and an affordable hotel room before I left for the office that morning. I’ll never be sorry that I made the trip!
• The biggest highlight of night one was undoubtedly Keep The Faith with Sympathy For The Devil. (I thought this was the first time I’d heard it, but a little research showed that I’d actually gotten this at my very first Jovi show on the LH tour. I remember a lot from that overwhelming night, but not Sympathy.)
Have A Nice Day was absolutely inspired on night one. Jon sang it with incredible passion and anger, and Richie was all over the stage with the doubleneck.
• Night two had almost as many changes as Jon claimed it would have, and they really were quality changes. All of the following were a thrill, but Damned was the biggest treat of all. The intro was beautiful, and Damned just plain rocked!
Blaze of Glory - Damned/If Loving You Is Wrong - Turn The Page - Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night - Dry County -
• Other random special moments/thoughts:
• Hearing Never Say Goodbye for the first time at Mohegan Sun.
• Also at Mohegan Sun, Jon’s terrific story leading up to Hot Legs as the cover during Bad Medicine, the hauntingly beautiful Miss Fourth Of July and the rollicking cover of Squeeze Box.
Bad Medicine/Hot Legs - Miss Fourth Of July - Squeeze Box - I’ll Be There For You in Charlotte.
Last Man Standing opening the first show after Jon’s calf injury. We’d joked about it, of course, but who thought they’d really do it?! Speaking of Jon’s injury, a massive tip of the cap to him and to his medical team. He didn’t miss any shows, didn’t seem to cause any additional damage at the shows he did and was back in the form we’re used to in an amazingly short period of time. Outstanding.
• Seeing Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes open for Bon Jovi in Ohio and then joining Jovi for a terrific version of Treat Her Right. Great fun!

Regrets
• At my first two shows in March, the band performed six songs from The Circle. By the last two shows in July, they were down to just three each night. After hearing seven songs from the album the first weekend, I’d have never guessed that I wouldn’t hear any of the other tracks. I especially regret not getting to hear Bullet and Brokenpromiseland and only hearing Thorn In My Side once. Even Love’s The Only Rule was missing from my last five shows. It was too good for that.

• In spite of doing seventeen shows, I didn’t get to hear a single track from Bon Jovi or 7800º Fahrenheit other than Runaway. Jon gave up on those songs way too quickly, as far as I’m concerned.

• In seventeen shows, I only heard Richie do Homebound Train twice, and those came in the first four shows. After that, thirteen shows and Lay Your Hands On Me thirteen times. Homebound Train was too good to be put out to pasture like that.

Hey God, Something To Believe In, These Days, (It’s Hard) Letting You Go, Let It Rock, Wild In The Streets, Wild Is The Wind and Santa Fe . . . the O2 shows got all of these, and I have little chance of hearing them unless I get out my passport and head for Europe. It’s hard not to feel a little bitter about how Jon writes setlists for the casual fans and completely ignores the most loyal fans at the majority of U.S. shows.

Most of the tour was highlight for me. There was vanilla setilists, but they were awesome vanilla. The return of Jon's vocals was a treat. was what set it off for me. And as most others said,. And Damned performances (particularly ) was pretty kickass. And
And to top it off, hearing Blood on Blood as the opener. It is one of my favorite Jovi songs, and I was glad that I got to hear it live. Here's footage of video that I liked of the same song.
Hearing Happy Now for the first time ever was pretty cool. I couldn't find audience footage, so here's proshot.
I have only 2 regrets. That would be not hearing Thorn in My Side in person and not hearing Prayer after the return of Jon's vocals.
