After watching the video a few times, and **** me she looks amazing in it, I'm really starting to like this song. It's a very catchy fun little pop-rock song.

Horrible song. Catchy, but not in a good way. Mighty annoying. Back to the Sk8er Boi days I guess, which I even found to be ridiculous back then, when I was 16. She is still extremely beautiful / hot, though.

I like Avril. I have her first couple albums and have heard various songs off the next record. It's actually going to be pretty good I think. I think Girlfriend is an ok song, nothing great. Keep Holding On is a solid song though and I'm glad that's going to be on the record.

she looks a bit too much like she's tryign to be gwen stefani there. she was hottest on the complicated video imo. i had many a good afternoon when i'd just started college sitting in the arc pub round the corner watching that over and over on a massive screen

Oh dear, catchy pop bullshit of the highest order.

She does actually have some good songs ... on ones like I'm With You and Losing Grip from the first album, and My Happy Ending and Nobody's Home from the second, she sounds a bit like a lite- version of Alanis Morisette. Skater Boy's alright as well, does a good job of crossing pop and rock without being too annoying. But on this one I agree, she seems to be wanting to be Gwen Stefani a bit much ... and I don't think she's that hot in it, although the black hair is quite nice But then again, I like the redhead in that video too

Like most peopele, I'm not expecting the Beatles either, but some of her songs are great. My favourites are I'm With You, Complicated, My Happy Ending, Nobody's Home and Tomorrow (album track from Let Go), and Keep Holding On was good aswell. So although Girlfriend is a duff pop song, I'm hoping some more meaningful songs like the ones I mentioned above will appear.

Avril's first 2 albums were killer. This song is catchy, but it's pop bubblegum crap, which her best stuff isn't.

Sort of reminds me when Jewel sold out with that dance music garbage.
