Honestly both of these statements are dead on. I thought Poison was great live but it really truly is the same show everytime (i've seen them three times.) Same with DL and Joe's voice, only saw them once with Bryan Adams a few years back and i had fun but Joe's vocals, not so great.

Still i would go see them again, both bands are alot of fun and the whole crowd sings along anyway. I'm sure you would have a good time.

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

But artistically...

You're pretty much making my point for me.

As a side note, my dentist had Fall Out Boy and Panic At The Disco playing at my last visit.

Shut the **** up. You're one of the reasons this board is going to hell. You have no respect for anyone elses opinion.

danfan's post was just stating how one act has been more successful than the other (i HATE(!) Leppard but love Cheap Trick, but even i can't argue the FACT that Lep have had more success).
There was nothing there that said, in one form or another, "If someone doesn't like something, it's automatically shit."
You moron. I was agreeing with danfan and disagreeing with you and the other guy who thinks they have a right to say what's shit and what is not. People who call other people idiots because of the music they like are idiots. And that's you, my friend.

It does not make you a retard, DL were really good. I saw them on the last tour as well and they kicked ass. They didn't even sell out the arena they played in, but still gave hell of a show.

It's called expressing an opinion. And not a particularly controversial one. And one that can easily be backed up with facts and examples. That I choose to make it drunk on a friday night and use swears while doing so isn't something that a grown up should really be shocked by. The world values formulaic, predictable, unchallenging music over genuine creativitiy. There was a wider point.

And I damn well do have the right.

Well. The context is that those two songs exemplify the qualities that the bands fans admire in them. Def Leppard something to make the day pass by a little more smoothly, without having to think too much about anything. Cheap Trick showing you something new, challenging you and offering excitement. I could give you chapter and verse on songs and context for both bands, but it would bore.

There's a place for Def Leppard - i don't regret the money I've paid to see them, but I'm not going to get anything new from a third show I didn't get from the second.

This from the man who thinks you shouldn't even be able to call a band shit.

You couldn't make it up.

Surely its down to peoples personnal opinions to what they like and dislike. This doesnt mean that band is shit or good. As the saying goes one mans music is another mans noise just learn to respect each others opinions without attacking!
