Default Hanson

I would never have thought i would be saying this, but I reckon Hanson are pretty damn good. I was going through my girlfreinds cd collection about a month ago and pulled out three hanson cds, middle of nowhere, underneath and the walk. I immediatly turned around and looked at her with contempt cos I thought she had good taste in music. Of course, by this stage the only Hanson track I had ever heard was Mmmbop, so I guess I was judging them on this single track. By the way, mmmbop is a cool little pop song that reminds me of my childhood, but I wouldnt really want to listen to it on my ipod if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I took the cds home and there are actually some great tracks (georgia, deeper, lost without eachother, go, minute without you, penny and me etc) on them. The sort of songs that give you a happy buzz!!

So, does anyone else around here like Hanson, or should I hang my head in shame for suggesting that they are pretty good??

Good band.

Get their 'Underneath Acoustic' DVD for a bit of an idea what they're about live.

I've always gotten grief about liking them.
But **** everyone else, they got some good somgs, though I've found that I can't listen to an entire cd without getting bored, but I do however enjoy individual songs from those cd's inmensely.

I love Hanson. I'm hopefully going to see them in May; I'm thrilled.

I've only ever heard MmmBop. I was about 9 or 10 when all the girls I went to school with were in love with Zach. I never got into them -- think I actually went out of my way not to, I was a bit elitist. So I really can't judge them. They play their own instruments though don't they?

Yeah, they all play quite a few instruments and they all sing very good harmonies. I would guess that someone who likes Bon Jovi could probably appreciate some of Hansons stuff. You should youtube the sings I listed above to get a taste. They are not he band they were when mmmbop was out.

I bought that dvd not long ago for like £5 off amazon and its really good, they seem to be a pretty tight live band. Id love a dvd with the songs perfromed electric aswell though.

You know what, I'm comletely in agreement. I've always liked the band. I never had a problem with then a friend of mine brought me to a show because I was the only friend of hers that didn't hate the band and they totally blew me away. They're a great live act and write good songs. A lot of songs on The walk are great. I really dig Watch over me and Somethings going round.

Aloha !

All I can remember are MmmBop! Where's The Love and that other "ballad". They recorded another album after Middle Of Nowhere but thought it was shit. Never cared much about them later on anyway.

I do remember they were big Lego collectors and I always wanted to play with their Lego though.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
