Obviously, since the re-recorded album is a bonus/freebie, Journey wanted to show off Arnel's vocals so that everyone could hear how close he is to "the old" sound, or Steve Perry in simple terms. I am listening to their new songs as I type right now. I must say though, his voice is spectacular.

Regards,

Jason F.

Anyway, I'm not that big of a Journey fan. I will pick it up to hear the new tracks, but the whole "re-recorded" thing strikes me the wrong way.
I have no problem with bands who still play old songs with new members, but to re-record them seems cheap to me. Maybe I'm nuts.
Well, for a brand new album that costs 12 dollars, plus you're getting a DVD and re-recorded classics, who really cares? As mentioned above, it's a freebie. To get 2 CD's and a DVD for 12 dollars is great. One CD with 6 songs on it costs that much!

Damn, what a great album so far!! Very impressed. Never Walk Away is outstanding. I don't even care that it is Be Good To Yourself Part Two. Wow, halfway through and I'm loving it all. This guy's voice is VERY Steve Perry like.

Good for Journey.

More bands should do what Journey did:

1. Record new album
2. Add bonus CD (preferably not a rerecorded version of their old hits, and more importantly, never put a twist on the old hits, cause it's as fake as dolly parton's tits)
3. Add a bonus DVD of a live concert
4. Sell it for $12 or less

Come on AC/DC, we're waiting!
