I did have a great time! Inevitably a long review will follow in a few days time (hopefully), but for now I'll just say that the festival was as good as any I've ever been to (Rage, Metallica and Pendulum were especially awesome), although going to a festival in a different country by coach is a tad stressful, to say the least

Caught the first few Bad Religion songs .... I'm not too familiar with them, but they sounded pretty good. Unfortunately by that point it was pissing it down and my friend I was with was wearing just shorts and a t-shirt, so we decided to go back for the tent to get changed and grab a quick beer before Coheed & Cambria

Heh, I did see Alter Bridge, I thought they were pretty good, solid songwriting, great vocals and great guitar

Unfortunately, I only actually know one of their songs (Open Your Eyes), so the rest of the set didn't engage me as it probably could have. All the songs seemed to go on forever! Which i suppose is a good thing when you know the material, but otherwise .....

Didn't see Rose Tatoo, was seeing Opeth and some of Bad Religion at the time

Alter Bridge will most likely open with this ballbreaker:

As for Rose Tattoo, their biggest song was this way back when:

Have fun!

what about Die Toten Hosen. They're the best live band ever, aren't they?

Not sure, but cool name for a band anyways!

By the way mate, we Australians would love the Romanians to do us an almighty favour and boot Italy out of this tournament, would be much appreciated!!

Well, I'd never heard of them before, and I saw about half a song of theres and decided to go elsewhere. Partially because it didn't appeal to me, partially because as packed as the main arena was, I don't think I would have been able to get in properly
