:O Both albums rocked!!
Well, fair enough. I'm not that much into groovy-jam-session-vibe-records, I prefer melodic singalongs or intense highspeed parts over that. There are some exceptions, but that's the general rule.

What the ****??

What the hell is it with men???? Why do they eventually ALL turn into ****wits - even those with the biggest potential of staying true to themselves. Eventually their brain turns into mush and they lose all control and slide right down that prostitution lane. I am getting quite sick...... It's a shocker even though I saw it coming miles away....

*hums: only the good die young....*

Why? Why do you hope the third is finally a good one? If you don't like the first ones and thus don't like AS, move on. There are a bicillion Aerosmith rip-off bands .... be happy. Don't 'hope' that someone good turns shit, just because you might like it better.

I don't care if someone rips off Aerosmith. I don't care if people like that sort of stuff. I don't care if that is what the charts are playing. However, I DO care if one of my heroes loses all self-respect and values and ideals and goes for chart position and easy vocal range over expressionism and art. *yuck* *spit* *growl* *shiver* *gag*

I understand that SG is long gone, I even understand that Cornell solo ain't the same as Cornell with a band and I very much realize there won't be any other Rage Against the Machine. However, to turn from MAN with conviction and opinion and viewpoints and 'doesn't give a shit about mass opinions' and 'won't prostitute myself for the fans or media' and 'don't ****ing make me a pin up cause it is irrelevant to my music' and 'I consider you calling me a rock star a form of insult' .... into a nice smelling pretty boy wearing designer clothes and fake facial expressions who can't seem to get enough opportunities of starring on glossy colorful double page ads, is more than a complete let-down and proves that prozac turns testicles into slime. It's the ultimate sell out. Shame, shame, shame.

The world just may come to an end .............

Or in Mr. Bluesmans words: this REALLY shits me up!!!!

LOL and I thought I might have come across dramatic when I texted you, Maria
Needless to say that I feel pretty much the same about this.

Because parts of the second record sounded very good to me, kinda like, promising or whatever. Yes, Be Yourself for example. But yeah, I get your point. Sorry for interrupting your discussion.

Nope not overly dramatic. But I got your message while walking from the parking garage to the office building and my entire day was ruined!! Had to get one of those evil blackberry-green tea frappuccinos with loads of whipped cream to get me out of that black hole you sent me

What's overly dramatic anyway?

LOL. then settle with the parts and don't send bad vibes to the band

C'mon guys, the song is up on the site, can we maybe have some comments about the actual music rather than the band's image? It's almost like Backstage With Chris Cornell over here ....

Right. Cause we made a few comments about Cornell's looks? We also made comments about Audioslave's music you know. I, for one, am not looking forward to an album that apparently is an Aerosmith rip-off. And that apparently has some really bad tracks on it. I believe Maria also made some valid comments about their music:

Walrus, a bands image and their musical style are often very much entvined. I would have thought you had already picked up on that, but maybe you need a refresher. Funny you should find the criticism of CCs image change to be similar to Bachstage. I didn't think they'd ever criticise Jons looks. Oh well, perhaps you just need to actually exprience the changes a favorite band of yours will go through until you truly understand the meaning of it and how it very much relates to their music.

As for the song itself, I can't quite stomach to listen to it yet, but appreciate your urgent desire to hear what *I* think about it. I'll bookmark this thread and will certainly get back with you on that.

In the meantime, Walrus, feel free to ramble away about what YOU think about the new single - can't recall you having any valuable input on the music yourself. ...
