It's not bad actually. I'd call it more radio friendly than some of their heavier stuff sure, but necessarily more poppy ... same as comparing Someday I'll Be Saturday Night to Hey God say, doesn't make SIBSN a pop song. At least (like Bon Jovi actually), they seem to have finally got away from releasing pretty much the exact same song as the lead single for three albums straight

Can definetly hear the Mutt Lange influence, especially in the backing vocals, sounds kinda like a Def Leppard song, although I reckon that there's always been a noticeable Def Lep influence on Nickelback, and not just in their song titles

I wouldn't call this a great song. I would hate it if Bon Jovi made a song like this, which I assume you want by the seocnd half of your comment. On second thought, they have already made songs like this ie see songs from Have a Nice Day, Lost Highway, Crush.

No wayyyyyyyyy are you comparing Nickelback and Bon Jovi. Some Nickelback songs are really good, but Bon Jovi songs are great.

I heard the song and I think its good. Its just that it sounds very much like their old ones and its becoming usual already.
