Just watched the Boots video premiere on VH1, and though visually neat, this song sucks monkey balls.
I heard that they will be the house band on Letterman the week of thier albumn release, which might be great publicity for both and brilliant marketing.

From first impressions - Get On Your Boots is shit. Very dissapointing. I'm still looking forward to the album though. I bet it will b kickass, and this will be the only bad song on it!

...and All Around The World.

I wonder when the day will come that people will realize that U2 are terribly overrated, have only 15 really good songs. Most of their big hits are really good, but their smaller hits sound like really average songs to me, and some of it is just wank.

And when U2 had performed at that Obama thing the overall reaction among several of my friends (who know shit about music) was that they wondered if U2 has changed their leadsinger because he sounded so crap. Every time I wonder if I should go and see U2 but then I see Bono preaching again and see their setlists and I decide that I'll skip another overpriced tour.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I agree with you; when U2 are good they are amazing (see With Or Without You, One, Where The Streets...etc) but there's no consistancy.

And yes Bono sounded dreadful at the inauguration; I think he started smoking around the same time as JBJ and it hasn't done him any good either!

I'd subtract 10.

I'm not much of a U2 fan. However, I do love the song When Love Comes To Town. I have no interest in a new U2 cd, personally. I've never understood the appeal of songs like, Pride (In The Name Of Love) , bloody sunday, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For & Where The Streets Have No Name.

Still need to get used to the two tracks I've heard so far - Get Your Boots On and No Line on the Horizon. I expect they'll grow on me. Very excited for the album and tour though

Just to say the album has leaked. Fantastic, and well worth the wait.

But you didn't wait, you downloaded it when it leaked.
