I'm really looking forward to the record, though I'm not really in love with the new single.

I hope this is worst song on the new album.
In interviews, Bono has said that GOYB was where vertigo left off, so it isn't strange that you say that. Also he mentioned that the song "I'll Go crazy if you don't crazy tonight" was similar to beautiful day, so I don't know if this is good or bad. Just to mention I didn't think to much of beautiful day it's just ok.

Just listened and bought it today and I have to say it's not that bad. The song takes a few listens, but does get in your head. However the downside is Bono's vocals are fading, at least in this song. Bono voice sounds this song was for ATYCLB and I didn't care for his voice to much on that album. On HTDAAB his voice was better.

Also can anyone else recall the chorus because it sounds very familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. Besides the fact that Bono obsessed with how beautiful people are and love; someone else made a similar chorus...

I still think that All That You Can't Leave Behind is far superior to 'Atomic Bomb.

Aloha !

Heard it for the first time this morning in the car with Thierry. We both agreed that the song was a joke. "I've got gasoline you've got a submarine" for ****s sake, not even Noel Gallagher would write such appaling lyrics.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

U2 are awfully overated anyhow. I can count on my fingers how many decent songs they have.

I've not heard the song yet. I will check it out on YouTube or whatever when I can be arsed. Looking forward to the album though, as they are ****ing fantastic and anything but overrated or boring.

Not fussed on the single either. I thought the title track was better though. Very Kings Of Leon-ish IMO. I'm actually a big fan of their 90's output when they went all wierd and experimental, so that's why I'm still intrigued about this album. Get On Your Boots, though, just doesn't seem sure of itself. It's tried to be everything at once, but maybe in the context with the whole album, it may make sense.
