Of course I'll be there, but I just kind of wish they'd give up gracefully.. it is getting too much now. John had the right idea - sit back and enjoy the money! No one has really seen him since Freddie died.. quite smart really.

I know I'll go.. but still..

If you really want to go to the concert.. become a member of the fanclub!! You'll get to buy tickets before they officially go on sale!

I'm sure you know "Shooting Star" and "All Right Now". Possibly "Feel Like Makin Love" and "The Wishing Well". He's got a great voice.

From all those I know All Right Now... still couldn't say if his voice was great though...
Don't you have Access All Areas? Jon & Richie singing Shooting Star?

Even if this guy is great he's on a hiding to nothing fronting Queen, cos IMO Queen was Freddie. I think Brian and Roger should should let the whole Queen thing die, otherwise it will just cheapen the memory of a great band. If they wanna carry on playing music then form another band and do a few Queen covers instead. I dont think id go to be honest.

As much as Freddie was fantastic HE was not Queen, there was much more to the band than him.

As a band they all wrote songs for the albums, unlike many other bands, they got their own chances to write, play and often sing in the studio and onstage. John has chosen to live a quiet life since Freddie died, and that is his decision, but obviously Brian and Roger enjoy working and continue to do so.

If they wish to go under the title of Queen then they are entitled to do it. Obviously no frontman they could find would replace Freddie, but that doesn't mean that no-one else will be good at performing with them.

I've never heard of Paul Rodgers, and personally I would have liked to see Robbie perform with the band, he did on the Knights Tale soundtrack covering We Are The Champions and I thought that was pretty good. He has the same sort of stage presence and command that Freddie had, quite likely a big fan of his, and I think he would have been good at it.

I think it was all of them really, I know Freddie stood out but even during shows Brian and Roger often sang (not sure about John) and there was a tremendous energy between them and they could play off each other and the audience.

I really wish I'd have been born 20 years earlier, I'd have got to see them live as well as many other bands. Ever get the feeling you were born into the wrong generation? lol

John never sang.. John couldn't sing!! Whenever you see him singing he is miming..

Anyway, I don't think that it was just Freddie that was Queen, you'd be surprised how much of a democracy Queen was. Brian and Roger were always more the driving force of the band. The band came close to splitting up in the early 80's due to Roger and Brian fighting.. but... I think that Queen is the 4 of them, they are Queen. It just isn't right that they are still using the Queen name when Queen is the 4 of them. But I love seeing both Roger and Brian live.. so yeah, I'll go!

And Neil; Robbie absolutely raped We are the champions!! It was a terrible version and I like Robbie!! He should keep his hands off Queen songs. In my opinion there is only one singer that can match Freddie's range (as much as possible) and presence and that is George Michael. A close second is Mark Shaw. I'll have to wait and see about Paul Rodgers...

I'm really unsure about this one. Seeing Brian and Roger play live will be great; the buzz that I got when Brian came on stage at one of the performances of the "We Will Rock You" musical in April this year was awesome.

However, with no John and, of course, Freddie, it just seems a bit weird to go on the road as Queen. Perhaps if they did a Tour with, say, the casts of the Musicals (which many Queen fans hate- they loathe WWRY, even though they've only really heard it on the crappy Cast Album) I'd be even more up for it.

Paul Rogers is a great singer- check out his work with Free and Bad Company- but I wasn't 100% sure of his performance at the Rock and Roll Induction ceremony. It could have been a lot worse, and no-doubt will get better.

I'll still definitely go, it just will seem strange.
