No, the AUDIENCE has to care, and they don't. You're preaching to the choir, we agree that things should be different.

i dunno people on here dont even seem to care, they lazily accept the ways things are as the way the have to be....if some of the people on here are too lazy, youre right, what chance to we have that the general audience wont be lazy, and therefore leave us with a lazy band....

i predict a material decline on the next tour if nothing changes...

You don't sound like a dick. Again, this is not Bon Jovi topic. It's a Pearl Jam topic.

Again it is not...it is a look at what this band does - wouldnt it be a good idea for bon jovi, the fanclub, etc....

try to have an open mind - is the board too cluttered these days with relevant topics??

we only have so much time before terri gets involved and dumps my thread to the nether regions....again....

What do you propose we do? Go to shows and nudge the arm of every concert goer at a Bon Jovi show and say "hey, check out this album track, you'd really like it"? The band has marketed themselves to the casual fan, like it or not it's the truth. It's not going to change. Bon Jovi are not Pearl Jam. Once again, Pearl Jam get away with what they do because they don't have 10+ hits that they have to play every show. Come on man, you have to agree by now that Pearl Jam are not the same type of "Hit makers" as BJ.

Yea, being a hit band is a curse and a blessing. I've been to just over 100 Bon Jovi shows, if I NEVER heard Bad Name, Prayer, etc, I'd be fine, but for this band I'm a micro percentage of what makes up the ticket buyers to their shows (speaking for the US only). Unfortunately, for diehards the normal ticket buyer is going for 1) the party atmosphere 2) to hear songs they know. The one thing that Jon hates and will guarantee autopilot from him is if the crowd is dead.

Yep, dead on. The first few shows of the Circle tour are a testament to that.
