They are a ****ing great band. Damn underrated for reasons of credibility, but honest, melodic, highly musical. Many great songs. Some that are starkly honest and so well expressed.

Don't really care for them that much, but didn't mind the new album: "Are Men" was pretty good. ****ing amazing live band as well. They communicated with the audience a lot. They played for about 130 min but talked with the audience for like 1/2 an hour of it. And it wasnt just boring "every show of the tour" type of talk. It was banter and talk about stuff unique to our city. And they're Canadian as well...

You should see them live. They are a million times better than they are on record. Unfortunately Steven Page has left the band. He has one of the best voices out there and he will be missed. You don't notice him so much on the albums - but live he just shines. It's too bad

All of them are top shelf musicians too. I was introduced to them in 2001 by my daughter - and she is still a big fan.

There are a few other big fans of this band on this board - Captain Jovi (Matt) for one.

"Musician takes drugs" is just a total non-story.

That he does so with girlfriend not wife hints at something more difficult.

Just hope he's not been booted for the sake of the band's clean-cut image. That would be so wrong.

The way I heard it was that he wanted to leave to pursue other interests - I never heard that the band kicked him out.

I still think it's a shame - he could have pursued other interests and still been with that band. They were so good together.
