Oh no, that's too bad! And it tells me that we've reached the time where the heroes of my youth will start to call it a day. AC/DC, Aerosmith, Deep Purple... all those bands I've followed for a long time will not be around forever. Or the Stones. And now the Scorpions.

I wanted to see them live for many years, but never made it. Not too long ago I bought tickets for this tour. Too sad it's gonna be their last. And lucky me I will at least get to see them once. I loved them since I was 10 or so.

I,ve seen them twice, once in 84 and then a couple of years ago supporting Judas Priest(who they blew off stage imo). Always look like they are enjoying themselves and will be missed.

I've never seen them on their own but I've seen them on a few festivals and like you say, they really seemed to enjoy themselves on stage. I never bothered to check into their back catalogue because the production on the first records is terrible, but they were and are a great live band.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Which albums are you talking about? Because all their albums are well produced, apart from the first maybe ("Lonesome Crow", which I cannot listen to at all). Even the 2nd, "Fly To The Rainbow" sounds great. I admit I had troubles with "Love At First Sting" and its special sound for quite a while, but the production is still good.

"World Wide Live" and "Live Bites" (apart from the two disgusting studio tracks) are great live albums, "Tokyo Tapes" has its charms too. So many great songs this band has produced, if I would start to count them I'd be sitting here untill tomorrow.
My favourite albums are from the 90s btw, the mostly overlooked "Face The Heat" and "Pure Instinct" (which is their "These Days" - released 1996, mostly melancholic, acoustic driven songs, not to be featured on their setlists anymore).

It's sad, I like them a lot. It's even worse for me because I can't go to their Prague concert this year, I'll be in Alps. So I'll never see them.

There is chance that this is a commercial step, before the new album is out and before a big tour starts - that will attract more people than usually. They might take a break for few years and come back later..

With both Meine and Schenker at 62 this year, I somehow doubt that.
