The rock group Willy Gunk's internal frictions have come to a head as, at their most recent gig, the band members commenced a brutal fistfight amoungst eachother. At Wednesday's Metro Arena gig in Newcastle the band were playing a version of "Oli's Springsteen Gig Review" when lead tambourine-ist Ferret walked over to the mic and repeatedly punched triangle player Goldsausage, reportedly for remarks made about Oasis backstage.

Upon being told of the comments, guitar wearer Supersonic picked up his acoustic and smashed Goldsausage in the face several times, thus killing him. Due to this incident, it is unlikely that Goldsausage will continue as a member of Willy Gunk.

Following the altercation, the band played on as normal, with ukelele player Hometownboy handling triangle duties, and they have so far issued no official statement. Tonight they play in Sheffield.

Oh well, can't be helped, I suppose.
