Check out the Bonus CD as well! Some interesting stuff there, most notably a live version of "Country Feedback", which is band's fav song as well as an absolute fan favorite...

Why the hell is The End Of The World As We Know It not on it? Am I right in thinking that it was recorded before 1988?

Right! Years 1980-1987 (record company I.R.S.) are covered on best of called "Eponymous"

They wrote one of the greatest songs ever in Everybody Hurts, it was used at my cousins funeral so I find it really hard to listen to now.

Also Sidewinder sleeps tonite, does anyone actually know whats sung in the chorus???!

REM are a band that I'm gonna have to get into. They've done some good songs, and I've been waiting for a hits CD, and now I may be in luck.

believe it or not the lyrics to the sidewinder sleeps tonight chorus are

call me when you try and wake her up

listen sounds like callmechawakerup but it is in fact the line above.

i was going to make a really low ball comment about michael stipe and certain goings on in edinburgh just now that most of u probably dont know about but i'd get absolutely mauled for it.

dunno what th everdict would be if i said it about justin tho as double standards go

u literally have to sing it so fast that it sounds like cawmechawakerup but the lyrics are call me when u try and wake her up. u have to sing me when u try really really fast hence y it gets jumbled.
