Whitesnake, Helsinki 20.9.2004

Simply, amazing show. Sold-out venue witnessed 1hr 40mins of classic Whitesnake, starting with Deep purple's burn and including if not all but most of the snake-hits. Coverdale was in a good mood, interacting with audience a lot. A girl in front row handed over some roese to David, and wanted a kiss in exchange...so David asked security to help the girl over the fence & delivered what she wanted. I guess it can be described as typical snake-show, lotsa audience-singing & all the cliches from 80s, well what would u expect! Audience did take part quite well, chanting during "Ain't no love in the heart of the city" was simple chilling. Highlights for me were "Burn" ,"Don't break my heart again" and "Still of the night"....Only thing I didn't 100% enjoy was the band itself. Couple of boring solos (to give David a break I suppose)....and well, two lads with guitars just aren't compatible with the history of Whitesnake. They did deliver solid background for David, but solos just weren't "the snake"

Of course, being in the business for ages & aging, David has lost a lot of his voice, but, he sure knows what to do with what's left of it. He isn't taking the easy way tuning down the songs.....gotta admit, he still is THE voice. If u have a chance, go check 'em out. It will be worth it.
