I think the song sounds alright actually, I like it has long instrumental interludes and duels, and that the chorus melody is a bit quirky. The main problem with it is that the vocal production is horrible, and the vocals just get buried in all the other layers

At least with this re-invention we see a more real person, and not the cheesy, chauvenist we've seen for years in the series already. We're seeing what drives him, what makes him who he is. I loved Casino Royale and I look forward to this one and any more that they may make in the future.
I don't want the same old movies again, I'm quite pleased with the new style. But I just love the humor of the old movies, and funny gadgets (like shooting pens and stuff) just make me smile. Stuff like that, no weapons for mass destruction in the car or such. I understand that the Craig Bond is serious - but he could need a little more humour, Bond-style of course.

Ah, whatever, I wanna see QOS - NOW!!!

Have you seen it people? I've seen it last week here in Sweden, where its premiere was two weeks ahead of the US. But as much as I've been looking forward to the sequel of the brilliant "Casino Royale", I left the cinema with huge disappointment. I'm about to say it's among the worst bonds ever, only "Die Another Day" is worse (I tried and I tried but I really can't stand that one, though Brosnan is a great Bond). The action scenes were crap (no shot was longer than 1 second) and the story nearly not existing, plus he acted weirdly in some scenes (like saving the "bond" girl, only to hand her over to some random guy on the pier and then leave) or the thing with Matthis. Not going to spoil here. Not much of an explanation overall. No real atmosphere, no good flow, and pointless things all along the way. Looks unfinished, somehow rushed and given to the hands of a director who has never made an action movie before.

I have to admit that I might have lost a bit because watching it in english, but watching it in my native tongue it might only increase its quality about 10%. Yeah, it's that bad. Very strange, nothing compared to "Casino Royale". They should have taken the same director at least, and the script... it's just weird. Unworthy for a bond movie. My friend who was with me, also a huge Bond fan, called it the "worst movie ever". Which is of course a bit exaggerating, but expectations were high of course, as it wasn't a random action movie.
I'm going to watch it again though and I'm curious about your thoughts. On ImDb it got a 7,6 rating so far, which is surprisingly good.

I have to agree there.

I was really looking forward to seeing this after enjoying Casino Royale so much. Went to see it on it's opening night and left the cinema feeling very disappointed.

The story just seemed non-existant!
