Default Kill Bill Vol. 2

Is anyone else as pumped as I am about seeing the new Kill Bill (it comes out in the states this Friday)? Personally, I can't wait. The first one is certainly one of the most amazing movies ever made, and I hope the second one clears up a lot of unanswered questions, and of course, has the Tarantino touch that we all love so much.

I don't agree it is one of the most amazing movies ever made, but I can't wait either. It hits the cinemas on April 22 here.

Me too. I thought it was slightly above average and definitely not one of Tarantino's best. I'm still looking forward to volume 2 though, and I'm hoping it's better than volume 1.

Kill Bill was the first of Tarantino's movies I've seen, and I thought it was at least good enough to warrant me going to see the second part a week on saturday, and possibly to buy the DVD boxset when it is released, but I don't like the way it is put together, flash backs and the whole anime part of the first movie I didn't like. I did however enjoy the fights which were very cool, and hopefully I will be able to get the region 3 DVD as apparently that is all in colour, whereas the region 1 and 2 versions have some parts in black and white to apparently minimize the ammount of blood seen (ie red water used for filming)

been waiting for volume II as soon as vol I was over- can't wait- this guy's a genius!!! and imho what makes the film extraordinary are the flash backs, the black and white scenes and most of all the cartoon clips (not to forget the kick-ass soundtrack)
quentin said in an interview that he thinks bout makin a vol III (in about 15 years ) cause nikki earns her revenge too

I've been wondering about that...do you know if the color version (as you referred to it, region 3) will be released in the states, or just in Japan. I've had a lot of trouble with region coding in the past and I hope there is a release in America with this version.

Also, will there be a box set eventually? Should I wait to get this or just buy it when it comes out on DVD tomorrow?

I'm possibly going to a Kill Bill vol 1 + 2 marathon friday or saturday (to celebrate the end of the first semester whoo! :P), depends whether I'm still able to get tickets or not. If not I'm definately going to the cinema for vol 2 next week... after watching the vol 1 DVD of course ! Looking forward to it!

should have been one movie anyway. there are other movies that are as long as the two together, so i don't understand why the studio wanted Tarantiono to split it in 2 pieces. probably because they knew that the people are gonna see it anyway (because of the name "Tarantino"), whether it is one film or two. so they just did the calculation *2 ....
