I'd have to go with Daniel, I know he is a guy but that isn't the point.

Mostly because he isn't really in love (well he is in love with the dead wife - kind of appropriate) and does everything he can not to spoil it for his son (who might be why I think the accent is soooo cute, btw).

great film. really uplifting. i came out of it with a new found appreciating for showing your love more.

Well, if I didn't misuse the word "stepfather" (which I think I didn't LOL) then yes I am pretty sure. It is said somewhere when Daniel explains that he's afraid of losing Sam because he's unable to get through to him and that this is because he is not his real dad.

Thats how I felt too, even though most people I know were disappointed with the film. I love the end airport scene, great film to watch around xmas.

Same here...although I may be any of the people at the airport scene...as it reminds of the exciting moment when I am about to cross the arrivals gate and meet my parents and friends after a long year...needless to say I cried so much in that part, I remember I saw a few days before flying back home...
