Default Cant buy Richies album in a shop

I know I can order it online easy enough, but I,ve been in every shop that sells cds in my area and no-one has Richies cd in stock. Not even HMV who say they wont be getting it in but dont know why.
WTF is going on when the guitarist from one of the worlds biggest bands cant sell his album instore?

1. evidence that people only about Jon, and rarely will a casual (aka 99% of the bon jovi fan.base) gives a crap about richie.

2. physical album sales have been on the decline

3. supply and demand. if hardly anyone wants the richie album then why should the stores stock it?

Yeah, not in my area either. However, even when I visit big cities, I notice that music departments in stores are getting smaller and smaller so unless it is an established artists or a top-selling artist, you have to order online.

Default Not at FYE

I was at FYE today and couldn't find it there either. I ordered it from Amazon which is usually where I buy music.

In the U.S., some Best Buys and some Barnes & Nobles have the CD. You can check store inventory in your area on the company websites.

I picked it up in HMV today, although for some reason it wasn't in the new releases section. Quite exciting being the first Bon Jovi related CD I've bought in 3 years! (Didn't bother with the Greatest Hits)

Haven't had a chance to listen yet though

The day it came out I went to Walmart, Target, and Barnes & Noble with no luck. I called FYE and they said every store in the area got 1 copy and all of them sold it. I finally went to Best Buy and they said they received 2 copies, and after searching the CD section for half an hour the guy went to the back and found it and said nobody bothered to put it on the shelf. It was quite a journey but well worth it, I've had it on repeat for a few days now and I really think Richie did a fantastic job.

Could it have anything to do with his new label hardly being established and not distributing that many?

Default Had to search a bit...

I had downloaded the digital version when that became available, but of course also wanted a physical copy of the CD. While I knew I could also order that online, my husband and I had been planning a trip to the mall in a city about an hour away, so I wanted to make an 'event' of the trip that included purchasing the new Richie CD.

I checked the Barnes and Noble website beforehand and found that the store in the mall apparently had the CD in stock. When we got there, though, we searched for about 20 minutes with no success. As others have mentioned, the CD selection in stores like Barnes and Noble is much smaller than it used to be, so I was wondering why this was such an ordeal: The CD wasn't in the 'new releases' section or otherwise displayed, and I even looked in the 'S' and 'Bon Jovi' sections, wondering if someone had put it there. Still nothing. Finally, my husband found the single copy of the CD they had: It was in the 'S' section but buried at the very bottom of the CD rack, somewhere in the vicinity of my knees LOL. I hadn't thought to look way down there! So, he purchased the Richie CD for me and I enjoyed looking at the CD booklet over a pumpkin-spice latte in the B&N cafe.

As others have also already noted, I think Richie's CD won't get much traction in traditional music stores; I have never seen his previous 2 CDs in stores, either. The best bet would probably be to order online.
