People want to be able to get into contact with a celeb. Just because they follow a certain person doesn't mean that they're actually people who have bought an album by the artist. They're just interested in what the celeb has to say, so if the celeb would actually tweet something else than "Buy my new T-shirt it's got an amazing discount" it makes the follower aware of him and puts him/her in the spotlight. Next time the song is on the radio the person thinks "Hey, he said something funny last time, I should check his new CD."

That's the way it works.

Salaam Aleikum,

Exactly spot on. People want to relate to celebs and hear what they are doing and what they have to say about anything news related and Twiter allows for that. Why do people follow Perez Hilton when most people don't agree with him and think he's a f*cktard? Because people are interested in what he's going to tweet next. Why do people follow Ashton Kutcher when he is a mediocore actor at best? It's because he is relatable and posts frequently and really cares about his fans.

For a long time I didn't believe it was him either but it's pretty obvious youcangohome.com is the real deal and not a scam and it has a link to his Twitter account on the site asking for people who visit the site to follow the account. Why would they ask you to follow a fake account?

Of course it's Richie because he's trying to promote his charity. I can't see somebody pretending to be him to do that!

Because of the link from the website, I no longer doubt that it really is Richie's account. Is Richie actually posting is a whole different question. There have been a few tweets that I thought sounded like Richie when he speaks in public. Many of them sound like they're posted by a PR person.

cant believe this is being compared.

its amazing that bon jovi are still going never mind the fact that they can get a number one record.

they are superior and legendary status.

most importantly they certainly do now when it comes to making money and selling out stadiums and being loved by millions, but in the 80's and 90's they would have pissed and shat all over john mayer because they were ridiculously exciting etc etc etc etc etc etc

and by the way will jon mayer have a number 1 in 2023, considering that would be his 25th year. somehow i seriously doubt it.

bon jovi are a different generation and jon does it the way he wants to and he has enormous success, so i respect him for that and so on.

need me to remind you of something?

As a promtional tool and a chance to gather a younger audience they went on live lounge-yet they couldnt be bothered to do a cover(which was one of the joys of listening to live lounge )esp when most other artist that performed there over the years has done a cover and given their own twist.
Now how hard would it have been for jon or richie to set up a twitter account and ask fans what cover they would have like to have heard that day.
Christ even recently Robbie williams did a cover of Human by the killers in country-folk style and when the foos were on they did Arcade Fires-keep the car running

Excellent post. Some people here have had too much Bon Jovi and simply have stopped loving them. Criticizing is OK, but some stuff here is over the top. Glad to know there are fans with common sense.

You and everyone else who has responded to your post are misunderstanding the criticism as usual. It goes back to knowing that this band is capable of so much more than what they release and do.
