Not my favourite song, but watching the video last night I remember something that has always bugged me. Does anyone know why, or have any suggestion why the parachute the guy uses when he jumps off the building is The English flag/cross of St George? Jon being such a patriotic American and all, it might have been a Stars and Stripes. It just seems curious.

i reckon a stars and stripes background would make the words written on it unperceptible it'd be very hard to make out what was written on it.

i remember someone saying on the "have you ever made a banner" thread they used a polish flag requesting a song for no other reason than it had a very clean background, so it could be it.

ok i just watched it.
i don't see the cross of St. George though or any cross at all. i just see a vertical red stripe on a white background.
