Anyone who thinks the other guys are the same guys they were in the 80's... well, I don't think you were around in the 80's to "know" them back then. Every last one of them has changed. I believe it's called growing up. Some is for the better and some is for the worse, but no one is the "same person" they were at 25 when they're 50.

I bow to you!!!

you can not compare AAA to Jon of today. He was in his 20's, a recent newlywed and still with Doc McGee has manager. First forward to 2012, he is 50, a father of 4 and he runs the business. It's all on him now. No one is the same, no one. David does all broadway now, Tico is busying playing golf all the time. I think it's only Richie who is still trying to live the rock star life and he comes off a bit sad, sometimes.

I agree that the band has changed 100%. I wasnt really old enough in the 80s to appreciate how much but Access is a pretty good gauge and I trust Becky's judgement.

But too many topics always lead to "Jon Bashing". And it's always the same people. They need to get off their high horse and to quote a line from Access "They need to open their eyes and their ears" a bit

I think you need to just accept that of all the guys, Jon has been the one that has changed the most, and it's not been a positive change. I've spoken to a lot of people over the years who knew the band and even someone who used to tech for Tico and they all said one thing that was consistent throughout - they're all a bunch of down-to-earth guys... except Jon.

I think the problem is that whilst the other guys do appear to have kept in touch with the real world and retained their humbleness with fans and the media, Jon has gone off the deep end entirely. That's just my opinion though and you're entitled to yours just so long as you don't jump on everyone's back for thinking differently.

There's a popular saying, "Where there's smoke, there's fire," and I think enough people get the impression that Jon has not changed for the better for it to at least be considered a possibility, even if there are many who choose not to see it that way.

Perfectly said..... X10

Just to add on my opinion.... It's not necessarily all of Jons fault. I'm sure there are factors that contributed to his change. Jon takes on a ton of BS 24/7 per WWWB...... but don't confuse the two.

Someone said Tico is different and more mature because he plays golf....... Completely irrelevant. He's still the same down to earth guy.

For someone not to see a significant difference in Jon between AAA and WWWB/2012 is beyond me. He looks the complete opposite of a happy, down to earth, humble guy. However, I still see it in the rest of the band.

But at the end of the day, it's all about the music, right?

This isn't just about AAA. Just youtube some interviews and MTV promos from the 80's. Granted, Jon was still a kid, but the personality difference is amazing. He was having fun, and enjoying the ride. For Jon, it use to be about the journey. Now, it's about the destination.

I'm just glad we finally got an actress to slap him in a movie. LOL!

Now, with that said....he is wearing a lot of hats. His music helps with his charity work. If he didn't sell records and put on a A+ performance live, someone will be there to criticize.

Plus, with the music business the way it is lately, there must be much more pressure to put out that "radio hit."
Which reminds me.....I am really looking forward to Richie's solo project.

Hey..."Who Says YOU can't go home?"

Think about it...........
