I like both of then equally. Because I feel that both aren't their strongest effort. Both of them have turds (BJ: Joey, DL: Girl Like You). The rockers in Bounce are better but the ballads in X are much better than the ones in Bounce. So yeah, it's a tie and I hope both bands pick it up for their next studio effort.

And I'll be seeing DL tomorrow and BJ one week after that

oH my god a thread I 've also been looking forward to... this question has been around in my mind for awhile.

I totally agree with the following:

I really don't like the ballads in Bounce. I feel that "Four letter words" and "Torn to shred" are way better then "Joey" and "open all night"....
I also think that no song on "X" can actually be better then "Undivided" or "Everyday" or "Hook me Up".

So I can say I like both album, they are a good complement to each other. But my heart will always favour BJ more. To me, no bands is a as special as BJ. (and anyway, Def Leppard never did a song like "wanted dead or alive" or "dry country" or "in these arms"...) BJ is still my favorite.

I like Bounce much better. I got X, listened to it a few times and haven't touched it again since.

BJ were always cowboy-esque rockers!
DL were always Queen-esque rockers!

bounce is a better album then x.

x has no rock songs just some "sing along nick carter rock wannabies" which sucks!
some of the tracks on x are just embarising to hear such as gravity, why do they do songs like this?
as someone sad before the ballads on x are better then the ballads on bounce. Long long way to go is a classic def leppard ballad (its sounds very similar to their older ballads) which is good, it could be a hit.
"torn to shreds" is a good song,
"now" as well but it still sounds like a rock version of blues latest album! the only time i listen to this album is when I'm studing, because their is no, absolutly now risk that I will starting listening to what they are singing or playing (just because of that I listen to it quite often...).

Bounce has no ballads but very good rocksongs such as undivied and hook me up...
bounce feels like a more tight album, and it doesn't feel like it is only produced to be played on the radio (the singels).

bounce and x are both good examples if you want to illustrate how bad things can get if you use swedish pop producer!

I have to confess, I listen to x more often then i listen to bounce, that could be one of the reasons why I'm bored with it. x is a good study album, but nothing more, bounce is just another album in my cd collection...
