bounce and x are both good examples if you want to illustrate how bad things can get if you use swedish pop producer!

as someone sad before the ballads on x are better then the ballads on bounce. Long long way to go is a classic def leppard ballad (its sounds very similar to their older ballads) which is good, it could be a hit.
"torn to shreds" is a good song,
"now" as well but it still sounds like a rock version of blues latest album! the only time i listen to this album is when I'm studing, because their is no, absolutly now risk that I will starting listening to what they are singing or playing (just because of that I listen to it quite often...).

Bounce has no ballads but very good rocksongs such as undivied and hook me up...
bounce feels like a more tight album, and it doesn't feel like it is only produced to be played on the radio (the singels).

I have to confess, I listen to x more often then i listen to bounce, that could be one of the reasons why I'm bored with it. x is a good study album, but nothing more, bounce is just another album in my cd collection...
Gravity does suck major balls. I wish DL would stop making 'funky dance tracks'. They never realized PSSOM was a fluke, and the trio of PSSOM wannabes "Slang, All Night, Gravity" were just atrocious. They should stick to melodic rock, that's what they do best like You're So Beautiful (a.k.a Animal for the new millenium) in X. This song is the highlight of the album. And my favorite track from the two albums that are being compared in this thread.

To give DL credit, X does have two rockers: 4 letter word and Scar (which is actually an epic like White Lightning, Gods Of War and Paper Sun). But stuff like Gravity and Girl Like You, those have gotta go.

I agree with you! scar, yes its a good song four letter word as well. but i still miss does hard riffs that the had on Emphoria, like paper sun for example!
melodic rock is def leppard! that sums it all up I think...

My favourite on these two albums is probably hook me up, what a song, it doesn't sound like bon jovi but its just great! those hard riffs and that power full chorus... yeah! (many people think that Hook me up sounds like some Nu metal but it doesn't ,IMO, it's just a very powerful rock song...)

It would be totally funny if Def Leppard do 'cowboy songs' like Wanted or Dry County. It just wouldn't work.

Rick Allen is hardly a sad excuse. He's not even a drummer who is just getting by. He's excelled.

Most people who suffer a disabling experience do not even come close to the amount of achievement Rick has had.....they just shrivel up....and most people do experience it....just when they get older....thats when children like the above poster are reduced to blubbering cry babies because they can't deal. If there is any justice...life will deal them hell considering they've spent their lives with disdain for those who wound up dealing with a disability for the majority of their life.

and Kid....you are too young to even comment on anything regarding Def Leppard whatsoever. Don't turn yourself into more of a joke than you already are.
