Woman In love and I Want You are pure filler IMO.
Sleep When I'm Dead, Blame it on the Love.. and Starting all over.. = ok.

The rest of keep the faith rocks. Fantastic album if you ignore the patchy bits.

Come on, "Woman In Love" is harder, funny track in veins of Bad Name. Sleep and Blame It are classic R'n'R and R & B. It's so cool that the boys took that feel. I can't imagine "Keep The Faith" without those songs!! They're so cool

Yeah, It's in the same vein as Bad Name and Bad Medicine, but it's not a patch on either IMHO.

I don't dislike Sleep or Blame.. far from it. I just think they're ok. Just not outstanding compared to the rest of the album.

Does this say it all. We go into the Bon Jovi vaults and pick out an album filler track and think that it is amazing. Compared to post 2000 Bon Jovi it is.

I can remember first listening to Keep The Faith and thinking there were a few filler tracks but now I agree, every song is a masterpiece compared to some of the stuff we are subject to now.

I am now very bored of WWBTF. I loved the single Keep The Faith for ages after release and still do. That is the difference.

To be fair, it's not often artists release songs in the same league as Faith all of the time...

There are plenty of good post 2000 songs aswell. Just not as many! And nowadays songs are not made to be timeless, they are made for radio play and that's it. That's how they sell nowadays.

cant really argue with you there.

But lets talk about it in 15 plus years ,and when you'd hear the then contemporary rock from madonna's daughter,I bet we will have a post saying "just heard novocaine, and its amazing"

Not all bands care about radio play and BJ are big enough not to worry about radio and just produce good music for the fans.

I just like to compare some of the filler tracks from post 2000:

She's A Mystery
I Got The Girl
Love Me Bck To Life
You Had Me From Hello
Wild Flower
Last Cigarette

Some of these tracks really make me cringe where the albums pre 2000 had some really good filler tracks in comparison.

It's a great rocking track, and like If I was your mother, it doesn't need great lyrics to be amazing, I mean, it's proper rock man
Fear HAS great lyrics, it's one of the 'darker' songs of bon jovi.

Hey, those are just the tracks that i see as fillers too...
KTF didn't have fillers really... the least songs on that album (if they could be called fillers), that's even hard to say. I tend to skip 'woman in love' from time to time. Little bit of soul or blame it on the love of rock'n'roll also. But even then, i love those songs.

These days also only had 2 or 3 tracks that i call 'fillers': those are imo 'If that's what it takes, All I want is everything and Hearts breaking even'

... The strange thing is: for the first 2 albums, i wasn't really aware of them when they were released and i can't really tell which songs to consider as 'fillers'.
