I guess the live performance of this song has been on constant rotation on my playlists for 6 years now. Even though Jon had a hard time pulling it off, his raw vocals were killer and I've never grown tired of this rendition.

On the other hand I probably listened to the studio version only a handful of times...

You should give the studio version some more rotation. Brilliant song IMO and brilliantly produced/ recorded in Vancouver - obviously at Little Mountain Studios by Bob Rock! Even if this is considered a demo to me it sounds more like an (almost) finished studio version which probably was dropped from the final KTF tracklist. From the back of my head - wasn't this also considered a "grey summer" song when we discussed this period some months ago? I think so

They were the b-sides on this ain't a love song.

Sorry, yeah. I meant the order they were written and recorded.

Seb's right. (For once). I have the bonus CD version and it was written and recorded in '92.

That song should've been played live regularly, and it definitely should've been released on These Days or KTD in place of some of the horrible tracks they got. (yes Woman in love, Im talking to you! and If that's what it takes don't look at me like that!)

I just listened to this live version, I didn't knew they played live. I love Fields of Fire.

Sorry I gave life back to this thread.

It's been pretty well established that it's from Keep The Faith but I figured I'd post these anyway.

Something I found at the Special Editions vault when that was still up. Some interesting songs on there from the KTF era that have never been seen.
