I love Hook Me Up. It is one of the songs from the album that has aged well and is a good example of a track from the catalog that I'd be excited for them to pull out now. It was dropped before they came to the west coast on the Bounce tour.

I've been listening to this song quite a bit over the last couple of weeks. Very good song here, one of the last songs they've done which truly rock. I feel Bounce is a criminally underrated album. The only songs I don't really like are the crappy ballads (All About Lovin' You, You Had Me from Hello, and Open All Night). I really appreciate the rest of the album, including Joey.

Misunderstood is probably their best track post-2000, and Hook Me Up and The Distance are sure contenders for that spot as well. Great album, they really should play more from it. Despite the shitload of sampling, I thought songs like The Distance, Hook Me Up, and Undivided came off pretty well live. They do have a second guitarist who could cover those parts, too (yes, Bobby could indeed be beneficial, believe it or not!).

On my version, there's this song called Joey on track 4, which I kid you not, actually contains the following lyrics;

Joey Keys was from my neighborhood
Some would say that he was bad and Joe thought that was good
Joey got the name "Keys" picking locks
He never really robbed no one; it sure amused the cops

Can you believe it?!
Oh, Jayster, You Had Me From Hello.

Misunderstood? Really? That chorus is so annoying and so pop? The verses are great, I will give you that.

I don't understand how Hook Me up can't be at least top 4 for somebody on Bounce. Who doest like a song with such adrenaline and that awesome guitar

I love Hook Me Up - I was lucky enough to have heard it live several times. But for my money, Undivided is the jewel of the Bounce album.

The Distance is mine. Adore that song.

Came at a time when I was in a long distance relationship and yeah.....

Hook Me Up is a good song but it was actually sorta' ruined for me by Jon explaining his thought process about a palestinian with a HAM radio and it just came off as sort of, silly almost? And I can't help but think about that when I hear it and the song ends up doing nothing for me. I think the inspiration behind this would have been better unspoken.

I love Undivided, but it is really sounding to start dated.
