Default How about this for an updated 'Best Of', post Crossroad?

Hi everybody!

I haven't seen the tracklisting for TLFR, because (and I know this may sound silly) I wanna get surprised when I buy the album and play it and listen to each track as it comes. I did the same for One Wild Night Live and I was pleasanlty surprised and enjoyed the feeling of not knowing what track was next.

However, I hear here that there are no These Days tracks and that's disappointing. I was toying around with this idea before TLFR was released, and how about this for a tracklisting of a second "Best Of" since Crossroad, i.e. chronicling everything from "These Days" through to "Bounce". I've taken the 2 new tracks ('Last Man Standing' and 'Thief Of Hearts') and included them here, just as 'Someday I'll Be Saturday Night' and 'Always' were included in "Crossroad".

You may hate the tracklisting, or you may like it, or you may think it could be improved, or whatever. I'm just interested to know what you think because a second 'best of' should have incorporated songs from this era:

1. It's My Life
2. Something For The Pain
3. Everyday
4. Thief Of Hearts
5. Last Man Standing
6. Say It Isn't So
7. These Days
8. All About Loving You
9. Just Older
10. Real Life
11. Hey God
12. Thank You For Loving Me
13. One Wild Night 2001
14. This Ain't A Love Song

See, the tracklisting has got songs from every album post - Crossroad, and I know 'Just Older' was never a single, but hey, that one is one if the bands' defining songs! Having said this, I look forward to hearing the new arrangements on TLFR. And please don't spoil the tracklist of TLFR for me in your replies!!!! Thanks!

Aloha !

Just Older has never been a single, and if they'll release a new best off it'll only include the singles.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yeah I know Just Older was never a single, but you can't put it past BJ for including it - who would have thought they'd ignore "These Days" for the 'greatest hits'. I'm sorry, but if there's not even 1 song on a greatest hits compilation, you gotta question it.

Oh, I just included Thief of hearts in the place of new songs recorded.

That looks realistic in a way - though I doubt that "Real Life" will ever be included on a new Best of. I would welcome "Just older", but I doubt that too. But for all I hope they take some time, some new albums before they release another Greatest Hits Compilation - now we get TLFR, Greatest Hits with a Twist (at least something different), but for a serious collection of hits 3 Albums are not enough (and not enough hits - not that I would mind )

I really hope that "Hey God" will be on that Best Of, whenever it will appear. I love that song and it shows a side of the band that is too often overlooked. Looking at the "Tokyo Road" Japanese Compilation, which includes "Hey God" and "Something for the Pain", I'm really hoping they are not overlooking the "These days" album when it comes to another Best Of (It's simply their best album).

I'm not sure if I would include "Say it isn't so" (I like that song!) and I'm thinking about "Misunderstood", which would surely be on it - it was more successful than "All about loving you" (I kinda like that one, too). And yeah, "Bounce" and "Undivided", why not "The Distance" should be there too. A pity those songs weren't singles worldwide.

Just Older is just their new Blood On Blood. But they didn't put that track on Cross Road either. Just like they didn't put Dry County on it, which was even a single.

ive never been too fussy about best of albums, TLFR i guess counts as one, so that is their third, and i think will be just as good as the other two
