If you watch 'Keep the Faith: The Videos' it gives the story behind the lyrics. Jon says something like:
'It's a heavy song to try and portray the wierd, almost psycho, feeling of someone so in love with a woman that the only way they could get closer to them would be to actually physically give birth to them'
Quite twisted but an absolutely amazing song! The only real track of theirs that borders on hard rock IMO.
