Well in terms of sales, they report U2 having sold about 140 million albums and Bon Jovi at 120, so Jovi is not that far behind them.

Better sales, as people already said, U2 is better.

Perosnally I prefer Bon Jovi. U2 is not my kind of music. Very different.

U2 is barely head in sales, and if I'm correct, they've had more releases than BJ.

In the US, U2 is the bigger band. Globally, I'm not so sure.

I like some of U2's earlier music, but personally, I think with the exception of 2 songs, I haven't heard anything by them I've really liked since about 1995. Completely overrated.

Bullshit. Have you seen some of the videos U2 has made? If these 2 don't look gay as a $3 bill, I don't know what does.

Who are you to say what "matters"? The biggest band of all time wrote songs about holding someone's hand, buying love, and loving someone for 8 days a week. Are you saying those songs don't matter?

Is that all you can bring to your argument? Homophobia ain't big and it certainly isn't clever.

Please spew some more profanities because it really makes up for your lack of intellectual debating skills btw.

Says the guy whose throwing around Bon Jovi dressing like tranvestites?
And what I meant earlier is that to dress down Bon Jovi's live show, when U2 can be accused of many of the EXACT same "infractions", most to an even larger scale.

I think U2 is overrated and mainly 'airy' filler with no real substance, and I think Bono is a self-righteous fool who thinks he's somehow making a difference by recording an album in the middle of India. There last album was utter trash, not to mention his voice is indeed god awful nowadays. Even at Jon's lowest points he sounded better.

That said, U2 is unquestionably the more relevant rock band. That is mainly Jovi's fault.

Who's homophobic? You're the one talking about Bon Jovi looking like transvestites. I'm merely pointing out that U2 ain't the most macho group of chaps either.

And my arguement was you made a stupid remark about music that "matters". None of The Beatles earlier work held a lick of substance. Again, are you saying that music didn't "matter"?

U2 are bigger and certainely better if you ask people in the street in general all around the world, just because they're more everywhere doing this and that, everyone knows U2 and even if they don't really know the band or the songs everyone on earth knows even just one or two songs and knows it's a "big" band ! we can't tell the same of Bon Jovi.
I never were a U2 fan, but i like them ... i like some songs, some albums and Bono on stage can't be boring ...
