Extract from a Jon Bon Jovi interview with Neil Jefferies sometime in 1993:

JBJ: "Well I tell you what, 'Women In Love' - I think sucks. And I wrote it! I wish 'Little Bit of Soul' wasn't on the record."
NJ: "I like that one."
JBJ: "A lot of older people do." (Cheers Jon - I'm only two years older than you!). "We recorded 30 tracks for that album and the day I left the studio I thought 'this is it'.
"We'd spent six months on a record and I hope we never spend six months on another record," he chuckles. "We were in five studios at one time come the end of that record. And I love that shit. I was running from studio to studio, everybody doing something different, writing up to the last minute then finally saying, 'No c'mon, we've gotta let it go'. But now, ten months later, I would change at least two tracks if not more. If only because there's another twenty sitting in my basement."

Thank you for postin it!
Well, knowing what are some of the other demos of KTF....I think that songs like the radio saved my life, fields of fire, or startin all over again should have been included in the tracklist.

It just goes to show how muscially creative they were in that period. All the songs we've heard from that era are great and Jon mentions that there was more that he might have even preferred over some of the album tracks. Keep The Faith rocks, I'd love Bon Jovi to hit the same kinda form they did with that album again.

I don't like Little Bit of Soul. I honestly think it's kinda boring.

I think the lyrics are great and it's slow tempo just makes it a great chill out song. A good way to finish an album I think.

I thought it worked on "An Evening With.." but otherwise, I'm apathetic about it. I feel the same as Jon does regarding the other songs mentioned. Then you have a song like "If I Was Your Mother" where I appreciate the creative attempt behind the lyrics, the song itself does not work..the lyrics actually wind up killing the song where when they are separated from each other they shine.

I love If I was your mother, it's such a great song and the mood it gives is magical, it's heavy but moody at the same time.
Little bit of sould I guess it's a good drinking song, you could put it on your stereo and just chill out with a cold beer it's great.
Then again I love The keep the faith record and the only thing I would change about it is woman in love so...
