It's a pretty good song, but it's never been one of my favourites off the boxset. I like the verses (especially the "for the night I just watched as you walked out of here" line) and the bridges, but the chorus just lacks something IMO. The accordion is an interesting touch though.

I was just watching the performance on the HAND dual disc. I love the song so much, the lyrics really hold a special place in my heart, sappy I know but I'm really passionate about this song. I'll defend it till the day I die and I've covered it twice live.

In all humble honesty, I never understood why people (and the band itself) praise that song so much. It's just dragging and boring, and therefore annoying. I like the lyrical idea, but that's about it. Actually one of my least favourites from the Boxset... and by no means something that should've replaced anything on KTF.

I absolutely love Miss Fourth, and I've been lucky enough to hear it live twice now. IMO, it isn't a typical Jovi song, and I really can't see it fitting on KTF. (It's always had more of a TD feel to me, although I know that wasn't when it was written.) I was thrilled to hear it on Saturday night and thought Jon & Richie's vocals were stunning. I can't stop listening to it, and I get chills every time I do. This is just the kind of bone that I think they can throw to the diehards on a nightly basis. They did it both nights at Mohegan Sun (NSG on Friday), and because of that, I forgive them for doing Capt. Crash at both shows.

Terri - did you ever listen to Jon's speech at the Borgata box set show about the "grey summer". There were a bunch of songs written then and this was one of them. We've had several discussions about this here and obviously can't pinpoint if it's the summer of 91 or the summer of 92 but we did come up with what we thought were the songs written during that time.

Oh yes -- definitely a grey summer song. For some reason, I'm a big fan of most of them. Jovi could have had their own "Darkness on the Edge of Town" if they'd all made an album. Okay wait, that's my favorite Bruce album. I think I'm seeing a trend here!

Wish Jon had made an album with or without the band in his grey period. I think the fact he was down as **** was making his songs even better, like Neil Young's "Ditch Trilogy". Would have been awesome.
