They'll probably just play some of the "old favourites" that everybody knows. It would be great to hear some new songs, just so that we could hear what some of us have been slagging off

It also depends on whether a new single is released by then, since then more people would have heard it...I can dream can't I?

I remember when they played party at the park in 2000 which had the same structure (multi bill act - 20mins each) and the songs they played there were
IML
Keep the faith
Bad medicine/Shout

I reckon it will be exactly the same this time but with Have a nice day added.

I may be wrong, but with the original Live aid bands weren't allowed to play 'new' songs or songs that would promote an upcoming release as the whole point was financial gain for the charity and not the artists. May be the same thing this time.

My thoughts exactly, not really a time for promoting your upcoming album.

Given the context of the shows I think perhaps The Radio Saved My Life Tonight might be quite fitting

I think for a show like this a set lsuch as this would be appropriate:

Livin' On A Prayer
Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
It's My Life/Wanted Dead Or Alive
Have A Nice Day
Something To Believe In

however I doubt we'll see that, probably the same old shit like Bad Name, I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, Bad Medicine/Shout

I don't think that Someday I'll Be Saturday Night would fit too well and Something To Believe In would be a bit slow and I don't think the audience, who will largely not be Bon Jovi fans, would appreciate it

I would agree with you to a point. The majority of the crowd may not be familiar with Saturday Night or STBI but both songs sound amazing live and lyrically hold alot of relavence to the type of concert this is, particularly Something To Believe In.

I Believe would be a great song to play but I doubt Jon would be able to sing that well enough now. As long as we don't get the Sleep/BMx/Shout trio I'll be happy.

I do understand what you mean about the relevance of such songs but I think they'd go for songs like It's My Life and Bad Medicine to get the crowd a little more lively. I suggested The Radio Saved My Life Tonight because it is too quite relevant but is more energetic

I think they did I Believe a couple of times during the Bounce tour so I doubt they'd miss it just for the sake of Jon being able to sing it, but like I said if they don't do relevant tracks like that I think they'll do more familiar ones (Prayer, Bad Name, Waned, IML etc) or ones to get the crowd going a bit (Bad Medicine, Shout, Sleep When I'm Dead etc)
