Default Prayer 1994

We never discussed that one!
Most of the time I don't like re-worked/-recorded songs but that's a really good take.
Would be an interesting fresh replacement for the original one at gigs.

Great song but let's be honest, they're never going to sacrifice the original in favour of this lower key version at gigs. They would be effectively wasting arguably their greatest song unless it was specifically an all-acoustic show.

But they never played it that way as it's on Cross Road!?

Yeah. Just acoustic "Livin' On A Prayer". "Prayer'94" contains electric guitar solo. The great one, by the way. But I think the song wouldn't work well on the gig. It'd be hard to get this unique atmosphere that studio cut has.

No they haven't. They've done shitloads of acoustic versions, most of them were the same apart from the terrible version they did on MTV Unplugged, but Prayer '94 has never been performed live.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

How was that version in any freakin' way terrible?!?

And I thought I saw a version with a guitar solo and everything... must've been knocked in the head too many times.
