The original acoustic version is still the best for me, then the original album version, I never really got into the Prayer 94 version...

Whenever I see the words "Prayer '94" I get irritated because so many people would write that on bootleg set lists any time the band played Prayer acoustically. It's not the same thing!!!

I like the version fine, but prefer acoustic and electric.

Prayer '94 is a cool version, but my favorite version of the song will always be the version performed on VH1 Storytellers in 2000, which is almost identical to this one:

With Richie playing an electric guitar rather than an acoustic like he normally does on this version.

I know right? I found a "Prayer '94 live" performance on YouTube a few days ago and it was just an acoustic version from Jon's Destination Anywhere tour. Is there an actual live version of "Prayer '94"?

I'd have to check their Xmas shows since they were always more diverse and might've had the chance to have that one in them.
On tour I can't recall it, maybe the one from Fort Lauderdale 1998 comes close since it basically was the acoustic rendition played with the full band and Richie on his electric guitar. As far as I remember a carbon copy performance of it didn't happen.
