I agree with McNabb that Stranger is better. Is it a guy thing? THe two male fans I'm close to feel the same way, but most of the girls like US better. Undiscovered Soul--listened to it once and said, "I have to give it another chance." Listened to it twice and said, "That's enough of that." What's with "You Are Not Alone" (you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone, you are not alone). Don't tell me that's a lullaby--unless you want your child to be a paranoid schizophrenic. I tried it again a while back and couldn't listen to any of the songs all the way though.

Stranger, while not something I listen to often has some good songs--One Light Burning, Stranger, Father Time, The Answer. One Light Burning is my favorite and I wish it was what Richie sang at Bon Jovi shows.

Out of those albums, I much prefer Stranger. Almost every song on it is amazing while on US there are a few duds IMO. Plus, I like that Dave and Tico play on it.. Makes it more of a Jovi album.

On the subject of Jon's solo albums.. I think Blaze is a good album but a couple of the songs don't do much for me. Santa Fe and BOG are awesome songs though.. DA I think is a great album but can see why some don't like it..

Aloha !

Stranger In This Town. That one's got Rosie, one of my favourite rock songs of all time. Undiscovered Soul doesn't have any rock songs that are full on, that's what makes the album not as good in my opinion. It's too laid back.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

That's probably why. However I also noticed many people prefer US but I still like SITT a lot more (and Father Time being my all time Richie favorite song).

Stranger tends to have more catcy rock songs on it and it easier to get into, where US seems to be a bit more darker and perhaps a little slower. I like both albums and there's great songs on them both. Made in America is probably my fave Richie song which seems to pretty much tell the story of his life. I think Richie is a very underated solo artist.
