Name two catchy rock songs on US and count the "dark" songs on SITT.

Catchy songs: US and If God Was A Woman, and most of it (Hard Times Come Easy, Made in America...)

Dark songs: Father Time and, really, the whole of it with a few exceptions.

But it's just *my* impression. US has always been more easy listening to me.

I'm definately a Stranger in this Town person. It's the only solo record I own of any of the band members. Although I have checked out Undiscovered Soul from my local library twice, it never really grew on me. However, I do like Made in America.

I love both of Richie's solo albums, but I can never make up my mind as to which is my favourite. They're both very different but still "typical Richie Sambora" IMO. (If such a term can be used after just two albums)

Neither of them are dominanted by uptempo rockers, but they're both somewhat thought-provoking. The songs on Stranger In This Town seem to "flow" together really well and is often better to listen to from start to finish. Plus the production on there is superb.

when you think about it SITT has the answer (one of my favourite tunes ever) and one light burning

US has harlem rain too.

His mellowed out stuff is better than the rock stuff IMO but i still prefer undiscovered soul. Nowhere near as dark and introspective as SITT and much funner to drum along with.

I like them both but a few of my favorite tracks are on US. Made in America is one - like Richie I was "born across the Jersey City line" only I was born across the north side and he was born across the south side. I can relate. I'm also a blues fan and US is a very bluesy album.

stranger in this town is more about being in a town, and feeling like a stranger in it you know??
While Undiscovered soul would be about a soul being left udiscovered.
you get what I mean??
