Default TLFR on Q104 in New York

Question:
Ok, you have said that TLFR is NOT just Jon and Richie with acoustic guitars. So WILL there be any electic guitar on the album?
asked by Andrew Riggs on Wednesday, October 1, 2003
Answer:
Listen to the album when it comes out. Or, tune into Q104 in NYC tomorrow morning - maybe you'll hear something you like.

If you want to know what's going on in this radio show head over to Backstage to this link:

Mary Beth is listening to the show and posts there what's going on.

Aloha !

I read the whole thread, the shows over now. Mary Beth thanks for reporting.

Anyway, they played snippets from the tracks on TLFR. Wanted is different too, a bit slower with orchestrals, IML is a sad ballad and Last Man Standing is country/rock.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

That's what Mary Beth or someone else said on backstage.

It's My Life is indeed slow with lots of beautiful piano work- if anyone is familiar with Roy Bittan of the E Street Band it reminded a lot of his work on Springsteen songs, not that the song sounded Springsteen like so much. But I only heard a snippet. Wanted sounded strange but I am reserving judgement until I actually hear the full thing- there was also a change in the words somewhat. Last Man Standing did have a country rock feel to it which is fine with me because I am a country rock fan

I find it interesting to hear about what the tracks sound like, but I don't want to hear any of them until I get the CD.

Here are some photos of today. Don't ask me what Richie did there, he wasn't on air. I'm surprised to see him on the photos.

Just wanted to say that I'm wet with anticipation for this new accoustic album. With the new arrangements, the old stand bye's are going to feel new.

hot.
