Woah. I didn't know this version existed. It's a cool version but I too prefer the album version. It should be a slow song as lyrically it's very good and the quicker tempo and extra drums/other instruments just takes the emphasis off the lyrics.

I agree - that's why I have always loved the acoustic version.

I'm just watching a live acoustic version with Jon and Bobby. It's pretty good, but the backing vocals aren't the best. Is there a studio acoustic version?

album version without a doubt. Bobby could never really pull off the solo live though fo rsom reason. That's him playing it on the album right??

Yes there is. I have it on the Queen of New Orleans single - mine came from the UK - with 2 versions of Queen, the acoustic Every Word and the live Jailbreak.

It might be on YT - I can check

I enjoy the remix but it's the album version for me. Great song though, so good to hear it played at the fan club show - the leaked version of that CD was the my favourite release from Bon Jovi last year - above and beyond The Circle, the book, and the live DVD.

I never looked at it that way but you're right. I was at that show and it was one of the best concerts I had been to in a while.

I've always liked the Dave Stewart Mix very much. Just like the acoustic version. But you're all right, the album version suits the song much better. So, I never really could decide. Such a great song.
