"Normal" people also go to work when their wife is pregnant.
Most normal people don't tour for months on end though. I would imagine that is the difference.

Although most normal people can't afford to hire a staff to care for their kids either.

Mousebounce, think for example of all the soldiers in Irak, Afghanistan or whereever who are separated from their families for month. Way longer than Jon is seperated from his family while touring. He is not the only one who works in another country for some time. A lot of people do it.

Jon's wife is pregnand but not ill.

You are right, but those people don't have much of a choice. They chose their career and need to do it to make a living. Jon, on the other hand, has enough money to last him a lifetime. He has the freedom of choice, where most other people do not.

yes, tjhats the point I was trying to get across, that the band have enough money to never have to tour or make another album again, if they chose not to.

We all know, that wont happen though!

And of course people go to work when their wifes are pregnat...but one call and they will be home at least within an hour or 2 if baby wants to say hello to the world...and being in Japan f.i. won`t get you hoem so soon.
And if yo have to go to Iraque or wherever because it`s your job, you will do so..but being happy about it. I honestly doubt that.
They are able to schedule their tour, so I thiink it will be logical to stay hoem when time is come and first time after that, but he, Jon isn`t a normal husband and father( lol)..so who knows what he will do.

We don't even know when the baby is due yet do we? It may be born before they would be ready to start a tour. If they did choose to tour the boxset for example, they could probably start late next summer, and the baby would be born by then anyway.

I think if they release the boxset in late spring/early summer next year, they would have a while to do promotional shows, and then start a new tour by early 2005. If they where to start a new tour even late in 2005 that probably wouldn't leave them time enough to write and record a new album, and then get it released, and do promotional stuff before the tour, so I personally think the boxset would be the best thing to tour.

They may even do it as a 20th Anniversary tour or something.
